Okay, this episode lays a lot of groundwork. We get a huge piece of backstory on the drug operation, and all the major players start making their moves. It feels like everyone is getting ready for a fight.
The Drug Lab's Origin Story
We finally learn how this whole mess started. Years ago, San Ma Hu bought an entire mountain. He poured all his money into hollowing it out to build a massive, secret drug workshop. The only problem is his chemists are totally incompetent. They haven't produced anything for months.
Just as San Ma Hu is about to lose it, he gets a call from a man named Mr. Jiang. Mr. Jiang offers a deal. He'll send two expert chemists to get the lab running. In exchange, he wants full control of the southern market. He also needs San Ma Hu to force his way into the Xiatong market.
Everyone Wants Revenge
Da Gou Is Out for Blood
Da Gou is completely shattered by Er Gou's death. He swears he's going to kill Mao Zi. But here's the thing. He's followed Mao Zi for eight years and still has no idea where the guy lives. It's a harsh way to learn that Mao Zi never trusted him at all.
Hua Long Knows the Truth
Hua Long is smart. He immediately figures out that Bing A Dou was behind the explosion that killed Er Gou. It was a setup to frame Mao Zi and force him out. Bing A Dou wants to take over Hua Long's resources.
For now, Hua Long tells Mao Zi to take their money and get his mother somewhere safe. After that, he decides he's done playing defense. He's going to use everything he has to take Bing A Dou down.

Tu Hongjiang Finds His Target
The police are finally getting somewhere. Tu Hongjiang's team follows a lead from the Old Chinese Doctor. It points them to an abandoned sanatorium behind Chenjia Village. The place is remote and has old disposal systems, making it a perfect hiding spot for a lab. Tu Hongjiang immediately orders a team to scout the village that night. When they get there, they find the old sanatorium is guarded. Things are getting serious.
Zhan Peng's New Plan
Zhan Peng feels responsible for the last operation failing. He tells his boss, Xiong Guoliang, that their only real path forward is to find a way to use Mao Zi. At the same time, Bing A Dou starts selling product using the name of Hua Long's crew, Long Xing Tian Xia. This makes Zhan Peng realize a new player is trying to take over the territory.

Hua Long comes up with a clever, risky plan. He tells Mao Zi to come back to Xiatong once his mother is safe. He knows the police are looking for Mao Zi. So, they'll use him as bait. The idea is to let the police follow Mao Zi and hope they lead them straight to Bing A Dou's operation.
The Police Set Their Traps
Tu Hongjiang goes to his boss with a wild plan that requires thousands of officers. His boss, Xiong Guoqiang, tells him it's impossible. So, Tu Hongjiang "compromises" by asking for a small special police unit. He gets it, and his boss realizes too late that he was played.
Zhan Peng also gets a lead from an informant about drugs being sold at the local market. He sends in a guy named Xiao Sheng to pretend to be a buyer.

The Raids Begin
The episode ends with two major police operations happening at once. Tu Hongjiang's special police unit quietly surrounds and takes control of Chenjia Village. They prepare to storm the drug lab.
Chaos at the Market
At the same time, Xiao Sheng is at the market trying to follow Mao Zi, but he loses him. Thinking on his feet, Xiao Sheng fakes a drug withdrawal to attract a dealer. A guy named Xiao Liu Zi sells him some product. When Xiao Liu Zi goes to pay his boss, Zhan Peng and his team rush in and make arrests.
The main event is the lab raid. The special police force storms San Ma Hu's facility. San Ma Hu manages to escape through a secret passage, taking the Old Chinese Doctor and Bing A Dou with him. Tu Hongjiang notices the doctor is missing from the group of captives. He radios the police at the village exit, telling them to prepare to "welcome" their escaping targets.
