Episode Summary
In this episode, a flashback reveals that an accidental explosion in 1983, caused by Han Weidong and Tu Hongjiang, killed Wang Jiangshun and Zhang Yaohua. In the present, Tu Hongjiang is murdered by San Ma Hu, who is then killed by Wang Zhihui. Wang Zhihui reveals he is both the mysterious "Mr. Jiang" and Wang Jiangshun's son, seeking revenge. After kidnapping Han Xin, Wang Zhihui is cornered by Zhan Peng in a booby-trapped warehouse and is finally apprehended.

The Truth About 1983
We finally get the flashback we've been waiting for. It’s 1983. Zhang Yaohua, Tu Hongjiang, and Han Weidong corner a scrap yard owner named Wang Jiangshun. They want a ledger connected to the criminal San Ma Hu.
Wang Jiangshun pulls a gun. He isn't backing down. Zhang Yaohua tries to talk him down. He knows Wang is a father and won't risk his kids. But the situation gets tense. Tu Hongjiang fires a shot to protect his mentor, hitting Wang in the arm. Then Han Weidong fires a second shot. This one hits a gasoline barrel. The whole place goes up in an explosion. Zhang Yaohua and Wang Jiangshun are killed instantly. Tu Hongjiang and Han Weidong are badly injured.
The Train Station Trap Goes Wrong
Back in the present, Tu Hongjiang gets a message from San Ma Hu. They're to meet at the train station. Tu Hongjiang agrees to go alone. Zhan Peng, however, has plainclothes officers watching his back.
But there's a twist. The mysterious Mr. Jiang set up a double-cross. He also sent Sun Bojun to the station. He wants to see who will succeed in killing Tu Hongjiang. The police spot Sun Bojun on the train and arrest him. His partner, Ping Tou, manages to hide. Tu Hongjiang stays on board to find San Ma Hu. He runs right into Ping Tou and arrests him. Ping Tou talks. He says San Ma Hu is waiting under a bridge near a train tunnel. Tu Hongjiang immediately jumps from the moving train.
Tu Hongjiang's Last Stand
He finds San Ma Hu under the bridge. Tu Hongjiang is ready for revenge. He wants justice for his wife and the Old Chinese Doctor. They have a brutal fight. Both men are wounded. Tu Hongjiang gets the upper hand but decides against killing him. He wants San Ma Hu to face justice, not get an easy death. He cuffs them together to take him in.
That was a mistake. San Ma Hu grabs a knife off the ground. He stabs and kills Tu Hongjiang.
The Face of Mr. Jiang
Just then, Wang Zhihui arrives. San Ma Hu thinks he can use Tu Hongjiang's body to impress Mr. Jiang. He gets a huge shock. Wang Zhihui reveals that he is Mr. Jiang. He also reveals he's the son of Wang Jiangshun, the man who died in the 1983 explosion.
His entire life has been a long-game revenge plot. He has been orchestrating events to punish everyone involved in his father's death. With everyone else out of the way, he kills San Ma Hu himself.
When Zhan Peng's team arrives, they find two bodies. But before he died, Tu Hongjiang managed to write a clue in the dirt. He wrote the character "Hui," pointing them directly to his killer.
The Final Confrontation
Han Xin finds Wang Zhihui's secret ledger. It has everything. It shows all his crimes and a money trail leading to an overseas account. While she's looking at it, she hears someone break in. She hides in her father's secret room and texts Zhan Peng.
Wang Zhihui knows she's there. He pretends to leave, luring her out of the room. She's no match for him. By the time Zhan Peng gets to the house, Han Xin is gone. There are only bloodstains on the floor.
Trapped in a Warehouse
Wang Zhihui takes Han Xin to a secret cabin. He calls Zhan Peng. He tells him to come to a remote warehouse, alone. Zhan Peng finds them. Wang Zhihui has completely unraveled. He rants about his revenge. He blames them all for his father's death.
Zhan Peng finally tells him the whole truth. His father, Wang Jiangshun, wasn't an innocent victim. He was involved in drug trafficking.
The police have the warehouse surrounded. Han Xin sees an opening and shoves Wang Zhihui. It gives Zhan Peng the chance he needs to fight back and restrain him. Then they see it. The entire warehouse is rigged with explosives. Zhan Peng and Han Xin barely make it out before the place blows up.
Two Weeks Later
Zhan Peng and Han Xin wake up in the hospital. The nightmare is over. Han Xin gives Zhan Peng the ledger. A few days later, the entire criminal organization in Xiatong is arrested. Zhan Peng also finds new evidence from the old case. It proves his own father was never corrupt and didn't take any bribes.
