Episode Summary
In this episode, Gao Yuxuan's mother is cleared as the scammers are caught and their family agrees to repay the debt. Ma Yingjie leaves for a new career in Hangzhou. A love letter to Sun Jiayu leads to Liu Guoning getting in a fight and his mother, Dai Jing, starting to suspect he has a crush. Just as Lao Yang is about to sell his house at a huge loss, his bank loan is approved and his business recovers, saving his family from financial ruin.

A Clean Slate for Gao Yuxuan's Mom
So, the whole scam situation with Gao Yuxuan's mom finally gets resolved. The police caught the two con artists who tricked her. After that, the other moms, including Xiao Jiarui's, decided to back off. They agreed not to press charges against her. If they sue anyone, it'll be the scammers.
Dai Jing and Tang Xiaowei did some digging. They found out the money is mostly gone. The scammers blew it all. But their parents stepped up. They promised to pay everyone back to get their kids a lighter sentence. With the money coming back, the whole issue is finally settled. It seems like going through this mess actually brought the moms closer together.
Gao Yuxuan's mom gets to go home. Her husband and son are waiting for her. They were even making dumplings. The family takes a photo together. It looks like they can finally put this chapter behind them.

The Investigation Begins
Things get a little dramatic at school. Sun Jiayu finds a love letter on her desk. She does the right thing and immediately gives it to Teacher Li. Teacher Li does not take it well. She gives the class a very stern lecture.
Liu Guoning is the most upset about the whole thing. He decides he's going to find out who wrote it. His first move is to get his friend Dabai to distract Teacher Li. While she's busy, Liu Guoning snaps a photo of the letter. Later, during gym class, he fakes an injury. This gets him back to the empty classroom. He starts comparing the handwriting in the letter to every boy's notebook. He finds no matches.
A Schoolyard Showdown
The mystery doesn't last long. Liu Guoning spots a boy from another class, Wang Xiaohai, bothering Sun Jiayu. He figures out Wang Xiaohai is the one who wrote the letter. The kid is trying to get Sun Jiayu to be his girlfriend.
Liu Guoning immediately steps in. He warns Wang Xiaohai to leave her alone. Wang Xiaohai throws the first punch. The two of them get into a fight.
A Mother's Suspicion
Naturally, Dai Jing gets a call from the school. Teacher Li explains what happened. Dai Jing's first reaction is pride. She thinks her son was brave for defending his friend. She believes he should be praised.
Teacher Li sees it differently, though. She agrees the other boy was wrong to pursue a crush like that. But she suggests Liu Guoning might have similar feelings for Sun Jiayu. She points out how they act together. Dai Jing looks over at them and realizes the teacher might have a point. Something seems a little off.
Back at home, Dai Jing has a talk with Liu Guoning. She asks him about his relationship with Sun Jiayu. He insists they are just good friends. He even calls them "pure bros." Dai Jing pretends to believe him, but you can tell she's still suspicious.
Lao Yang Catches a Break
Chang Xiaowen finds out that Lao Yang's company is in trouble. She shows up at his house with Lao Yuan to offer support. She also brings them a stack of cash. Lao Yang and Tingting refuse to take her money. But the old lady is very persistent, so Tingting agrees to hold onto it for now.
Just then, the people who want to buy Lao Yang's house arrive. They are ruthless. They try to lowball him by a full million. Liu Xiangshang and Dai Jing show up right in the middle of it. Liu Xiangshang sees that the buyers are just taking advantage of the situation. He decides to mess with them. He announces that he'll buy the house for the original asking price. He tells them the house is no longer for sale to them.
As they're all arguing, Lao Yang's phone rings. It's the bank. His loan application was approved. He doesn't have to sell his house after all. After all that stress, he gets to keep his home. His business is turning around, too. Some clients heard about his troubles. They respect his integrity and want to continue working with him.
