Defending Dai Jing (and Failing)
So, Liu Xiangshang decides to speak up in the group chat. He tries to smooth things over about Dai Jing’s photo. He explains she only meant to give a friendly warning. She didn't even show the kids' faces.
But nobody cares. The other residents are fired up. They all start complaining about the same two kids. Apparently, these kids are a total menace in the parking garage. They spray cars with water guns. They curse out anyone who tries to talk to them. The consensus is clear. Their parents are doing a terrible job.
Tenants vs. Owners
The conversation gets ugly fast. It turns into a fight between property owners and renters. People start saying they should just kick out tenants with no class. The kids' parents, the "radish couple," see all this and go completely silent. You can't really blame them.
The Tire Puncturing Mystery
A New Day, A New Problem
The next morning, things get worse. A bunch of cars have their tires punctured. The group chat, of course, blows up again. Someone immediately blames Tang Xiaowei’s renovation crew. Liu Xiangshang tries to be the voice of reason. He tells everyone not to jump to conclusions and to check the security cameras first. Even Director Zhao’s car got hit. He tells everyone to calm down while he goes to review the footage.
Ma Yingjie Loses His Cool
One owner, Xiao Cao, is completely convinced. He insists it must be nails dropped by the renovation workers. Tang Xiaowei argues with him in the chat. Then, out of nowhere, Ma Yingjie jumps in and starts a full-on shouting match with Xiao Cao. It gets so bad that Director Zhao kicks both of them out of the group.
Tang Xiaowei starts to panic. She realizes if they don't find the real culprit, everyone will blame her. She buys a ton of heavy-duty bags for the workers to haul out trash. She also sends Ma Yingjie and Tangdou to the garage to search for any nails. They check the whole place twice and find nothing. But then, Lao Yang's car gets a flat tire. This time, he's sure it's on purpose. The puncture is too deep. To catch the person behind it, Ma Yingjie and Lao Yang decide to set up their own camera in the garage.
Teenage Troubles
Shiwu's Crush
Shiwu is going through it. He’s starting to have weird feelings for Mary. He wants to get closer to her. But he’s also afraid of making her life miserable. It seems like every time he’s tried to help her in the past, something bad has happened.
Tingting is getting close to her due date. So, Shiwu has switched to being a day student. He comes home more often now. He says it's to spend time with Chu Yi, but he also just needs to cool his head. He and his stepmom, Tingting, get along well. He even brought her some fancy imported prenatal milk powder.
Family Worries
Tingting is sharp, though. She notices the smell of perfume on Shiwu and worries he might have a girlfriend. She asks Lao Yang to have a gentle chat with him about it. But Lao Yang and his son can barely say two words to each other without fighting. He tries, and he gets the feeling his son is probably dating someone. He just has no idea how to talk about it. Tingting tells him to let it go for now.
Chu Yi is also having a hard time. She's a sensitive kid. She’s noticed that whenever a new baby comes along, the parents always favor the younger one. She's scared that when the new baby arrives, her parents will forget all about her. That's why she's been so moody and has been giving her mom the cold shoulder.
Tingting asks Shiwu if he knows what’s wrong. Shiwu, for a teenage boy, is pretty observant. He knows his sister is worried about being ignored after the baby is born. He tells Tingting that she and his dad need to give Chu Yi more attention.
