His team successfully rescued Chen Yaozu. They also found a massive bomb at the scene. This big win earned Gu Yangshan a pass to leave Sanyangli. He's finally getting some freedom.

Luo Han has been busy digging. He found some interesting info on Xian Biyun. It turns out she's not just an actress. There's more to her story. He also looked into a guy named Li Boyao. This man holds several jobs in the concession and knows way too much.
Gu Yangshan sees him as a ticking time bomb. He needs to be dealt with. Fast.
So, Luo Han set up a fake meeting with Li Boyao. He killed him quietly during the meet. He also got his honor medal back in the process. With that done, Luo Han officially requested a full investigation into Xian Biyun.
New Faces, New Suspicions
Joseph Needham went back to his workshop. His colleagues were all there waiting for him. They’re huge fans of his work. They even set up a private office for him on the second floor.
Liang Jingyuan also got a new assistant, a woman named Yi Aida. Gu Yangshan caught a strange look on her face. It was just for a second. But it was enough to put him on high alert.

Ding Yi got back to his office. He started checking for listening devices, trying to copy Gu Yangshan. Gu told him not to waste his time. This is a core department. They wouldn't bug this place.
Meanwhile, Xian Biyun threw a party at her home for a group of wives. Where there are women, there's gossip. She listened to their casual chats. She gathered a lot of valuable intelligence without anyone noticing.

He told Ding Yi to spend more time with the trainees. He wants him to learn more about mathematics from them. Gu even brought books from his home to the office for Ding Yi to memorize. He's pushing him to get better.
Xian Biyun had a secret meeting with Old Owl. They need to find an underground operative known as "White Night." Xian Biyun is the only one who can get into the stock exchange freely. But the mission is incredibly risky. It could easily be a trap set by the enemy. She decided to take the chance. Even if she fails to meet White Night, the attempt could provide clues for future operations.
She doesn't know that Sasaki has already made plans. He's sending Liang Jingyuan to the stock exchange tomorrow to make an arrest.
The Stock Exchange Trap
The next day, Xian Biyun showed up to a mahjong game with hot dumplings for the wives. Ye Yin was complaining. She said her husband, Liang, wouldn't buy her a gold bracelet she wanted. Xian Biyun used the opportunity. She said she was planning a surprise. She'd already had two pairs of bracelets made. One of them was for Ye Yin.
Ye Yin was touched. Then Xian Biyun pulled out a newspaper. She showed everyone how much money she'd been making on the stock market. The other wives were jealous. They all started asking her for tips. Only Yi Aida, the new assistant, looked grim. Something was clearly on her mind.
Ding Yi is really focused on his appearance now. He even secretly used some of Gu Yangshan's cologne. The two of them went to the research institute. They saw a lot of cars leaving. They knew a mission was underway. As they walked past Liang Jingyuan's office, Ding Yi glanced inside. He saw the words "Big Room" written on a blackboard.
He suddenly remembered something. A female colleague had asked him for a favor. She wanted him to ask Xian Biyun to buy some stocks for her. Ding Yi put it all together. He suspected today's mission was at the stock exchange.
Liang Jingyuan was on the second floor of the exchange. He saw Xian Biyun. He watched her walk toward the "Big Room" private suite and smiled.
But then she stopped cold. She spotted a single flower in a trash can. It was a signal. She turned around to leave, but Liang Jingyuan's men blocked her path. Trapped, she tried to disappear into the crowd.
A police dog started barking like crazy right at her. She pretended to be terrified. This gave Liang Jingyuan a reason to pull the dog away. She lied smoothly. She claimed she was just there to try her luck with stocks.
Just then, Joseph Needham arrived. He saw the whole scene. He explained that his colleagues were all envious of Xian Biyun's success. They had asked him to bring her here to get some stock tips. He was shocked by the confrontation. He couldn't figure out why Liang Jingyuan would be so suspicious of her.
