Episode Summary

Groundhog Day with Guns
So, the show kicks off with our guy, a SWAT officer named Ding Qi. He's just walking down the street when a massive explosion goes off.The next thing you know, his watch resets. He’s back to before the blast. It's November 26th all over again. This isn't his first rodeo, though. He calmly writes "Loop Day 3" on a piece of glass. He knows what's coming.
The First Few Tries
Attempt Three: Going It Alone
Ding Qi decides to be proactive this time. He calls his boss, Duan Zheng, to warn him about a big bank robbery at Dafa Bank.But he doesn't have all the details, like how many robbers there are. Duan Zheng thinks it's a prank call and hangs up.
So, Ding Qi just goes to the bank himself. He waits for the robbers to show up. When they do, he goes full action hero. He manages to take out every single one of them and even disarms their bomb. It looks like a success. But then you see the getaway car outside. The driver just chucks another bomb out the window, and the whole street goes up in flames. It's a total disaster with heavy casualties. Later, we see Ding Qi eating noodles, watching the bad news. He tells a kid nearby that the fifth try is always the final one.
Attempt Four: The Anonymous Tip
For his fourth try, Ding Qi gets a little smarter. He uses a voice changer and calls Duan Zheng anonymously. This time, he gives him all the details. He tells him the number of robbers and the weapons they're carrying.Duan Zheng is shocked but takes it seriously. He even calls the real Ding Qi to check, and Ding Qi plays dumb, saying the tip sounds credible.
The police set up a trap. The robbers, disguised as delivery guys, walk right into it. A huge shootout breaks out inside the bank. One of the robbers gets badly hurt, but before he dies, he hits a remote detonator for a bomb. The explosion sends Ding Qi flying. He dies a hero, and his picture is all over the news that night.
Fifth Time's the Charm
The "Too Easy" Heist
Okay, final try. Ding Qi calls Duan Zheng again, no voice changer this time. He's dead serious and lays out the whole plan.
On the 26th, the police have the bank completely surrounded. When the robbers come in and pull their guns, something hilarious happens. Ding Qi and all the bank tellers throw their hands up instantly. They are super cooperative. They pack the money for the robbers and hand it right over. The robbers are completely baffled by how easy it is. They grab the cash and leave without a single shot fired.
The Takedown
The robbers get in their car, probably thinking it's the easiest job they've ever done. They drive right into the police ambush. A sniper takes out the driver, a guy named Xiao Wu. The rest of the crew tries to fight back. They pretend to surrender and then toss a bomb. Another gunfight starts. This is where Ding Qi jumps in. He grabs a shield, protects his teammates, and helps take down the last of the robbers.
Waking Up on the 27th
After all that, Ding Qi is sleeping in the CIB office. He wakes up and checks his calendar. It's November 27th. The loop is finally over.
His boss, Duan Zheng, immediately pulls him aside to ask where he got his intel. Ding Qi tells him the truth. He says he's stuck in a time loop.Duan Zheng looks at him like he's crazy and tells him to go write a report. You can see Ding Qi circling the dates on his calendar, marking the days he's lived over and over.
We also get a quick scene with a woman named An Lan. She hears about the bank robbery and sends a worried text to Ding Qi. But when the news reports no casualties, she quickly retracts the message.
How It All Started
The show then gives us the backstory. We learn that Ding Qi's power isn't new. It started seven years ago when he fell into some water while he was drunk. He got stuck on a single day, the 24th.
He discovered a few rules. The loops happen randomly. He only gets five tries before the day moves on for good.And he's the only one who remembers anything. At first, he used it to get rich by winning the lottery and playing the stock market. He also noticed that while people don't remember the loops, they sometimes get a weird feeling of déjà vu. Eventually, he decided to use his ability to do something meaningful. So he became a cop.
