Episode Summary
Ye Kun, who is revealed to be Feng Wanqing's brother Feng Qiming, corners An Lan in an abandoned hospital. Ding Qi and Fang Lu intervene, leading to a confrontation where Fang Lu kills Ye Kun, who triggers an explosion. Ding Qi, An Lan, and Fang Lu fake their deaths to mislead their enemies. An Lan finds Feng Wanqing's diary, learning she was part of an early drug trial for "RAN" conducted by Mo Yuanzhi. Finally, Ding Qi reveals the time loop to An Lan, who realizes the loop days perfectly match the dates her precognitive lab mouse exhibited its strange abilities.

The Standoff at the Abandoned Hospital
The episode kicks off on the fourth loop day. An Lan goes to Moyun Mountain, and Fang Lu follows her.Up to this point, Ding Qi had Da Kai watching Ye Kun’s house. But when Da Kai finally goes inside to check, Ye Kun is gone. He left the tracker Ding Qi planted for him on the door. Smart move.
An Lan makes her way into an old, abandoned building. This is where things get personal for her. She remembers a medical report from her friend, Feng Wanqing. The report said Feng Wanqing was miraculously cured of her terminal illness. An Lan knows this is impossible. The disease was a medical mystery, and the hospice they were in didn't do treatments. Feng Wanqing vanished shortly after.
Suddenly, Ye Kun appears. He locks the doors and ties An Lan up. She tells him she's looking for a friend. When he gets closer, she recognizes him. He's Feng Wanqing's brother. The look on his face says he's stunned she knew his sister was at this hospital.
Just then, Ding Qi, who came as backup after Fang Lu was knocked out, makes a noise. Ye Kun immediately gags An Lan and pulls out a gun.
Secrets of the Past
While Ding Qi and Ye Kun trade gunfire, An Lan manages to cut herself free. She spots a discarded medicine vial on the floor. The label says "RAN." She then ducks into a cabinet to hide and finds something wild. The cabinet has a false back. It leads to a secret hospital room.
Ding Qi creates a diversion with a fire extinguisher and gets to An Lan. She tells him the big news. Ye Kun is actually Feng Wanqing's brother, whose real name is Feng Qiming.
Ye Kun isn't down for long. He comes after them, and Ding Qi decides to fight him hand-to-hand. During the struggle, Fang Lu shows up and shoots Ye Kun in the neck. It's a fatal shot. But right before he goes down, Ye Kun hits a button on a remote.
Duan Zheng's car is just pulling up to the building. Then the whole place explodes.
The Fake-Out
The news reports that three people died in the explosion. We see Tang Xin watching the report with a very suspicious look on her face. Mo Yuanzhi also gets the news and just smirks. This guy is definitely up to something.
But it was all a setup. Ding Qi, An Lan, and Fang Lu got out before the blast. Ding Qi tells Duan Zheng that they're faking their deaths. He wants to use the opportunity to fool "Squid" and regroup.
That secret room An Lan found was the exact room Feng Wanqing stayed in. Inside, An Lan discovered her diary. She tells Ding Qi what she learned. Eight years ago, Feng Wanqing was part of an early experiment for a drug called RAN. The drug was still in the animal testing phase. And she wasn't the only patient getting it.
The diary explains more. The RAN drug seemed to work at first. Feng Wanqing was even declared cured. But seven days later, her health took a nosedive. Her last entry is chilling. She wrote, "The world is repeating, the pain is doubling."
An Lan figures only two people knew enough about RAN back then. Those people were Jiang Yuwen and Mo Yuanzhi.She suspects Mo Yuanzhi was the one desperate to save Feng Wanqing.
The Time Loop Connection
The episode ends with the biggest reveal yet.
Ding Qi goes to An Lan's house and turns on a signal jammer. He finally tells her everything. He explains that the world gets stuck in a time loop. The same day repeats over and over, and he's the only one who remembers it.
An Lan listens and then takes him to a room in her house. She tells him about a lab mouse, RN356. The mouse started acting strangely, in a way she couldn't explain with science. It was like it could predict the future. She tried to show her boss, Tang Shaorong, but the mouse acted normally during the demonstration.
So, she brought the mouse home. She ran experiments on it every day. She found that its "precognition" only worked on very specific days. She wrote all the dates down.
Ding Qi tells her the dates of his time loops. They are the exact same dates An Lan recorded.
