Spoiler Alert

The Aftermath of a Failed Takedown

Yang Yipeng Gets Benched

So, the big operation was a total bust. Mou Sen gets away with Li Haipeng, leaving a trail of chaos behind him. Luo Zhongkui is the first one to the scene at the reef. He finds Yang Yipeng passed out and immediately rushes him to the hospital.

When Yang Yipeng wakes up, he’s just silent. You can tell he is completely crushed. He failed to get revenge for his brother, and it's eating him alive. It doesn’t take long for Director Fang to show up at the hospital. He is not happy. He tears into Yang Yipeng for going rogue. He reminds him he’s a cop, not some vigilante. Fang makes it clear the law will handle Mou Sen. It's not Yang Yipeng's personal vendetta to solve.

Yang Yipeng still doesn't get it. He wants to know why they aren't arresting Mou Sen now that they have some evidence. Director Fang has to spell it out for him. It’s not the right time. An early arrest would blow up their entire, carefully built plan. Seeing that Yang Yipeng still isn't backing down, Fang makes a call. He officially pulls him from the undercover mission. His time as "A Zhen" is over.

A New Plan Forms

Duo Zai and Zhi An were really counting on Yang Yipeng to finally nail Mou Sen. They're both pretty let down that he escaped again. The next day, Zhi An takes Duo Zai to her father’s grave. This is where Duo Zai finally gets the full picture. He learns that Mou Sen is connected to her father's death.

Yang Yipeng also shows up to pay respects to his own brother. Afterward, he pulls Duo Zai aside with an offer. He wants Duo Zai to work with the police as an informant. Zhi An overhears this and shuts it down immediately. She doesn't want Duo Zai putting himself in that kind of danger.

What's interesting is that this wasn't just Yang Yipeng’s idea. He had already discussed it with Luo Zhongkui and Director Fang. They all agreed on it. But now, they have a new problem. They worry that Duo Zai won't be able to regain Mou Sen's trust after all this. They need to figure out a way to help him get back on the inside.

A Return to a Broken Home

Yang Yipeng's Painful Homecoming

With his cover blown, Yang Yipeng is officially a cop again. He cleans himself up and goes home to see his mother, probably feeling a ton of guilt. The reunion is heartbreaking. His mother is sick. She doesn't even recognize him.

We learn Ruan Yongwei has been the one caring for her all this time. His mom thinks Yang Yipeng is just a colleague of her son. She talks about her son constantly, wondering aloud that if he were still alive, she might have grandchildren by now. Every word is like a knife for Yang Yipeng. He just has to stand there and take it.

The Game Is Back On

Duo Zai Makes His Move

Back at the police station, Director Fang holds a meeting to discuss the Mou Sen case. He points out that Mou Sen is currently fighting with Tang Jinshan for market control. Fang thinks they can use this conflict to dig deeper.

Meanwhile, Duo Zai contacts Mou Sen himself. He uses a dark web account as bait. He plays dumb, pretending he had no idea about A Zhen's real identity. He even throws in a line about how his own father didn't know, so how could he? Duo Zai then lays out his terms. If Mou Sen wants the account, he has to release Si Yan Hao. He sends a screenshot as proof, but Mou Sen is suspicious. He wants the full account, not just a picture. The trust is clearly gone.

Shifting Loyalties

We then see Duo Zai retrieve something from a secret box. He uses a drone to deliver the package to someone. After the job is done, Si Yan Hao shows up at the docks. Duo Zai instantly realizes he was being spied on, and he is furious. He tells Si Yan Hao that he did everything to help him get off drugs. But Si Yan Hao says some things that really cut deep, and Duo Zai is just left feeling betrayed.

Mou Sen's New Partner

A new player named Andy inspects Mou Sen's shipment. He's impressed. He officially welcomes Mou Sen to something called the "Platinum Road." Mou Sen immediately asks for his father's old account back. Andy tells him it's impossible. The account for Mou Haidong was changed, all by the book, and can't be recovered. He tells Mou Sen he’ll have to earn his own fortune.

It turns out Duo Zai's hacking is what caught Andy's attention in the first place. Andy was so impressed that he fast-tracked Mou Sen's application. In the end, Si Yan Hao decides to leave Duo Zai. He wants to follow Mou Sen for the money. But in a strange twist, Mou Sen tells him to go back and stay by Duo Zai's side.
