Episode Summary
Andy discovers the betrayal and traps Zhi An's team in the bunker. To save them, Duo Zai creates a diversion by driving a car full of gasoline into the base, sacrificing himself in the process. The resulting chaos allows the police to storm the bunker, arrest Andy, and capture a fleeing Mou Sen. In the end, Duo Zai dies, justice is served, and Zhi An vows to continue her work as an officer.

The Bunker Goes Sideways
So, Andy is watching his monitors. He sees the police setting up outside. He is not happy about it. He then finds a tracker hidden in a jeep. His mind immediately connects the dots. Duo Zai and Mou Sen are the source of his problems.
At the same time, Mou Sen spots Zhi An on a monitor. He instantly realizes Duo Zai led the cops right to their doorstep. He confronts Duo Zai, absolutely furious about the betrayal. But Duo Zai doesn't back down. He says he was only ever with Mou Sen to get revenge for his family. This is the end of their partnership. Mou Sen raises his gun to shoot Duo Zai. Just then, a massive explosion rocks the area from outside. The distraction gives Duo Zai the perfect chance to run.
Duo Zai's Last Stand
Duo Zai sprints through the dark, confusing tunnels. He's just trying to escape. He accidentally stumbles into the bunker's server room. This is his element. He's a brilliant hacker, after all. He quickly gets into their control system. He finds the command to open the bunker's main entrance. He opens it for the police.
This move doesn't go unnoticed, though. Andy spots his location on the new camera feed. He immediately orders his men to go kill Duo Zai.
A Trap Springs Shut
Outside, Yang Yipeng and his team see the heavy door slowly grind open. Zhi An has a lot of experience with these situations. She guesses it was Duo Zai's work. She doesn't hesitate. She puts on a bulletproof vest and heads inside with a few special officers.
This turns out to be a huge mistake. Andy is watching them on his high-tech surveillance system. He lets them walk right into a buffer zone. Then another heavy door slams down behind them. Zhi An and her team are trapped. Andy is a ruthless guy. He starts pumping poison gas through the vents to kill them all. As if that wasn't enough, he hacks into the police radio frequency. He taunts them, threatening to kill the trapped officers if the rest don't back off.
The Sacrifice Play
Duo Zai sees what's happening. He knows Zhi An is in mortal danger. He has to do something drastic. He quietly takes out one of the drug dealers. Then he gets into a car that happens to be loaded with gasoline. You can probably see where this is headed.
He floors it, driving the car like a missile straight toward the base. Mou Sen sees him coming and tries to stop him. He actually rams his own car into Duo Zai's. It doesn't work. Duo Zai keeps driving, spilling gasoline everywhere as he goes. He knows this is a one-way trip. He gets on the radio. He says a final, heartbreaking goodbye to Zhi An.
The Aftermath
Yang Yipeng gets on the radio with a final warning for Andy. He tells him that if he harms a Chinese police officer, he will pay for it. Back inside, Zhi An makes a desperate move. She breaks into the core control room. She starts smashing all the computer systems and monitors.
Then, the explosion happens. The police waiting outside finally storm the cave. They swarm in and arrest Andy. The raid is a success.
But it came at a cost. They find Duo Zai on the ground. He is severely wounded and barely breathing. Zhi An runs to him, crying. She begs him not to fall asleep. She reminds him of their promise to play games together again. It's no use. He slowly closes his eyes and dies.
Tying Up Loose Ends
Mou Sen thought he was smart. He used the chaos of the explosion to escape through a sewer pipe. He gets out and thinks he's free. Then, Yang Yipeng just appears right behind him. It's over. For Yang Yipeng, this is the ultimate victory. He not only brought down the entire "Platinum Road" operation and caught Andy, but he also got personal revenge by arresting Mou Sen.
The whole operation is officially closed. Zhi An formally inherits her father's police ID number. She will carry on his legacy as an anti-drug officer. We also see that Mai Jiamin and Mou Sen are sentenced for their crimes.
The show gives us a little bit of a happy ending, too. Yang Yipeng and Ruan Yongwei finally get married. In the world of the "709 game" that Duo Zai loved, the developers add a new assassin character to honor his heroic actions. The final scene shows Zhi An scattering his ashes at their secret spot.
