Episode Summary
Mu Qibai is defeated and dies after realizing his mistakes, but not before his out-of-control demon army nearly destroys Jixing Yuan. Ming Yi and Ji Bozai use their love to power a special array, successfully sealing the demons. Ming Yi collapses from the effort, leaving her with only one petal on her life-saving Li Hen Hua flower. Ji Bozai, completely trusting her, unlocks the Fleeting Dream for her and gives her three days to decide on marriage. Meanwhile, Tianji abolishes an old, sexist law, allowing women to train as fighters. Ming Yi wants to confess her true identity to Ji Bozai but chokes when she sees his unwavering faith in her.

The Final Showdown with Mu Qibai
The Brother's Regret
So, the big fight is on. Mu Qibai has his demon army. But he can't actually control the power. It's too much for him. He clashes with Ji Bozai for a few rounds and gets completely shut down.
Outside the main hall, Situ Ling and the others show up. They try to fight the demon horde. It's not going well. They look like ants trying to stop a tidal wave. All the while, Ming Xin is just watching from the shadows. She's convinced Jixing Yuan is about to be wiped off the map. She also assumes her brother, Ming Xian, won't survive it.
Mu Yuanfeng watches his own brother, Mu Qibai, get consumed by the demonic energy. He's heartbroken. He screams at him for making a deal with the devil and dooming their home. Mu Qibai always thought his brother was weak. He believed Mu Yuanfeng failed to make Jixing Yuan a top-tier power.
But Mu Yuanfeng knew the truth. He knew that working with the Chasing Water Spirit Continent was a trap. They would have become puppets. His only goal was to protect his people and his family. He never expected his own brother to mess things up this badly. In his final moments, Mu Qibai finally understands. He sees his brother was right all along. But it’s way too late. He disintegrates into dust. His soul is gone.
The Concentric Array
With Mu Qibai gone, the demon army is completely out of control. They start devouring everything and everyone in sight.
Ming Yi knows what she has to do. She doesn't hesitate. She decides to activate the Concentric Array with Ji Bozai. Their feelings for each other are real. Their hearts connect. A massive burst of spiritual light erupts from them. A circular array appears in the sky. Together, they pull all the demons into a single point. They compress the entire horde into a small, red orb of light. The threat is sealed away.
The Aftermath
Ming Yi's Secret Worsens
Jixing Yuan is quiet again. Everyone is safe. The people start cheering. But right in the middle of the celebration, Ming Yi collapses. She used up all her spiritual energy and is badly hurt. Twenty-Seven appears out of nowhere and carries her back to her room.
We get a look at her wrist. The Li Hen Hua, that magical flower tattoo, has lost another petal. There's only one left. This is not good.
Twenty-Seven tries to heal her with his own power. He wants to go demand the Fleeting Dream from Ji Bozai. But Ming Yi stops him. She's worried. If Ji Bozai finds out she got close to him just for the Fleeting Dream, it will destroy him.
When Ji Bozai comes to see her, she forces a smile. She tells him not to worry. He says he wants to make things official and truly become husband and wife. But he doesn't want to force her. He gives her three days to think about it.
A New Era for Jixing Yuan
Back in the main hall, Situ Ling finds a Blood Moon Ring.
Meanwhile, Tianji is taking care of her father, Mu Yuanfeng. She learns something surprising. Yan Xiao, who was supposedly helping Mu Qibai, was secretly using his powers to protect her father from getting seriously hurt. Mu Yuanfeng can see his daughter has deep feelings for Yan Xiao. He tells her to be honest with herself. Tianji's anger toward Yan Xiao starts to fade. She now understands he was just repaying a debt to Mu Qibai and realized his mistake. She still pretends to be annoyed, though.
A Moment of Peace (and a Failed Confession)
The Fleeting Dream is Unlocked
Ji Bozai takes Ming Yi to the Spirit Vow Well. In front of his master's memorial tablet, he tells her about his past. Then he does something huge. He removes the restriction on the Fleeting Dream. This is him showing her that he has no more reservations. He trusts her completely.
While this is happening, Granny Xun, Bu Xiu, and Twenty-Seven are having a barbecue. Twenty-Seven is distracted. He's just worried about whether Ming Yi got the Fleeting Dream. To cheer him up, Bu Xiu uses his magic to create a sky full of fireflies. The mood is ruined when Granny Xun gets angry. She's thinking about how Ming Xian's return will probably destroy this peace.
A Festival and a Near Miss
Elsewhere, Zhang Tai is getting harassed by a drunk in the market. A guy named Zheng Tiao from Liubo Valley steps in to help her. She's grateful. She invites him to go to the Night Prayer Festival with her.
Ming Yi and Ji Bozai are also at the festival, walking hand-in-hand. They see Tianji standing on a bridge. She's using her magic to remove the Hidden Soul Nails from a group of women.
The show gives us some backstory here. Years ago, a woman with spiritual veins raised a demon beast, which caused chaos across the realms. As a result, Jixing Yuan made a rule. All women born with spiritual veins had to be implanted with a Hidden Soul Nail. After everything with Mu Qibai, Tianji has had a change of heart. She decides to abolish the old law. She will now accept women with spiritual veins into the palace to train. Gender will no longer be a barrier to becoming a fighter.
Ji Bozai sees this and feels how much Jixing Yuan is changing. But he also knows the Chasing Water Spirit Continent won't give up easily. The other realms are still a problem. Ming Yi tells him she'll face whatever comes with him. But she also drops a hint. She reminds him she's from Yaoguang Mountain and that her position might force her to make difficult choices.
From a distance, Yan Xiao watches Tianji on the bridge. He uses his magic to make it look like flowers are falling from the night sky. He just wants to see her smile like she used to.
Later, Ming Yi goes with Ji Bozai back to Wugui Hai. She was going to tell him the truth about who she is. But when she sees how completely he trusts her, she can't bring herself to say it.
