Episode Summary
The group travels to Yaoguang Mountain for a tournament. We learn Ming Xian's identity is a huge secret that multiple people now know. Situ Ling and Chao Heng are both trying to use Ming Xin to capture her. During the tournament, Ming Xin reveals a suspicious new level of power. He then kidnaps Ming Yi to get the prize, but she quickly turns the tables on him.

Chao Heng's Big Reveal
The episode kicks off with a bombshell. After Situ Ling leaves, Chao Heng corners Ming Xin. He drops a huge secret. Ming Xian is actually a woman. Ming Xin is completely floored. Chao Heng goes on to say she probably has Bo family blood. He then gives Ming Xin a magical artifact. The mission is simple. Capture Ming Xian and bring her back to the Chasing Water Spirit Continent.
Situ Ling Makes a Deal
But Situ Ling has been watching Chao Heng's little scheme. He finds Ming Xin privately. He offers him power, status, and even the Fleeting Dream. He wants Ming Xin to work with him instead. The job has two parts. First, find more masterless spirits for Situ Ling. Second, bring Ming Xian directly to him.
Ming Xin hesitates at first. He knows Chao Yuan has no spiritual power. But then Situ Ling gives him a taste of some serious new strength. Ming Xin realizes the man in front of him is not the weak person he used to be. He accepts the deal.
The Trip to Yaoguang Mountain
A Lesson in People Skills
Meng Yangqiu is still thinking about how Mu Qibai used him. He remembers Tianji's advice. He decides he needs to learn about social skills before they get to Yaoguang Mountain. He asks Chen Xi to help him practice. It does not go well. Meng Yangqiu is just too blunt and doesn't get social cues. Chen Xi is frustrated. Later, Tianji and Yan Xiao find out. They encourage Meng Yangqiu. They tell him he'll get better if he just keeps practicing. He starts to feel more confident.
Old Flames and New Feelings
The next day, the group heads for Yaoguang Mountain. Zhang Tai tries to get on the same boat as Ming Yi. Ji Bozai stops him. Zhang Tai gets annoyed. He complains that Ji Bozai is way too possessive.
Once they arrive, everyone gathers to discuss the rules for the spiritual power test. Ji Bozai handles everything. He assigns tasks clearly. But he tells Ming Yi to just rest and relax. He isn't hiding his favoritism at all. Bu Xiu is still worried. He thinks his master will lose both the Fleeting Dream and the girl. But Ji Bozai explains himself. He gave Ming Yi the Fleeting Dream to keep her safe, not to get something in return.
Later that night, Fu Yue brings Situ Ling hundreds of masterless spirits. Situ Ling consumes them to absorb their power. Fu Yue watches, secretly horrified.
Zhang Tai finds Zheng Tiao in the market. He learns that Zheng Tiao didn't abandon their promise. He's planning to win the Qingyun Tournament. He wants to use the prize to formally propose. Zhang Tai's doubts disappear. He feels relieved.
At the same time, Ming Yi and Ji Bozai are walking through the market. They see lower-level fighters struggling. They can't afford to buy magical tools. They both feel bad for them. Ming Yi asks about the hidden mark on Ji Bozai's forehead. She thinks his mother might have left it. Ji Bozai guesses his parents are probably dead. Ming Yi feels a pang of sympathy for him. The moment brings them even closer.
The Tournament Begins
A Shocking Display of Power
The day of the tea party and power test arrives. All the fighters gather. They take turns stepping up to be tested. Ji Bozai is calm and his power is immense. He impresses everyone. Then it's Ming Xin's turn. He reveals a shocking amount of spiritual power. It's far more than anyone expected. The crowd goes wild. Ming Yi knows something is wrong. She knows her brother's real strength. Ji Bozai suspects someone is secretly helping him.
The Plan for the Prize
Ming Xin now knows Ming Yi's true identity is Ming Xian. But Ming Yi is focused on one thing. She needs to get the Black Ganoderma to revive Twenty-Seven. Ji Bozai can't compete because he's a high-level fighter. Ming Yi can't compete without revealing who she is. So, they have an idea. They'll let Bu Xiu fight for the prize. Ji Bozai agrees. He also uses this moment to renew his heart seal with Ming Yi, basically re-marrying her.

Bu Xiu's Big Fight
That night, Bu Xiu stands on the tournament stage. He's a beast. He defeats over a hundred challengers in a row. Eventually, no one is left to fight him. Bu Xiu is about to claim the Black Ganoderma prize. Suddenly, a flash of light appears. Someone snatches the prize and kidnaps Ming Yi. They vanish in an instant. Ji Bozai guesses the attacker was Ming Xin. He's not worried, though. He trusts Ming Yi's skills and intelligence to protect herself.
The Tables Turn
We cut to another location. Ming Xin has tied up Ming Yi. He used a Spirit-Binding Rope that she herself made back when she was Ming Xian. He starts mocking her. He admits he used the Fleeting Dream on her. He tells her she's just a useful pawn in the Empress's game. Ming Yi plays along. She waits for the right moment. Then she breaks free from the ropes. She instantly overpowers a completely shocked Ming Xin.
