Episode Summary
The heroes rig the tournament to get into the finals together, while a side mission to steal the villain's plans leaves She Tianlin with a permanently damaged arm. In the final battle, Situ Ling proves too powerful for their alliance. Just as Ji Bozai is about to sacrifice himself, Ming Yi stops him, and they enact a desperate new plan to destroy the evil formation together.

A Pact Between Lovers
The episode starts right where we left off. Ji Bozai is still trying to push Ming Yi away. He tells her she’s a war goddess meant to protect everyone. She should be like an eternal star, not some delicate flower. He says even if he dies destroying the formation, she'll still have family and friends. He even suggests she’ll find love again someday.
Ming Yi shuts that down immediately. She tells him she could never love anyone else. Her entire heart belongs to him. She makes it clear. Whatever happens next, they will face it together, living or dying as one. That finally breaks through his walls. He pulls her into a hug, and it’s about time.
The Grand, Evil Plan
Situ Ling's Power-Up
So, what’s our villain up to? Situ Ling has been fully corrupted by that demon beast. He basically handed over his mind, soul, and power to a dark entity. They've merged into one being. His goal is simple. He plans to activate the "Heaven-Swallowing Formation" during the Qingyun Tournament. This formation will suck up all the good fortune from the Six Realms. All that power will flow into his own territory, the Chasing Water Spirit Continent. He'll become the undisputed ruler of everything.
The Counter-Strategy
Our heroes are scrambling. She Tianlin has been digging through old books. He can’t find any detailed records of this Heaven-Swallowing Formation. They know Situ Ling is going to make a move. Then, a message arrives from Situ Ling himself. He invites Ming Yi to the tournament. He wants her to watch him become the ultimate power in person. The arrogance is off the charts.
Ming Yi and Ji Bozai go straight to Tianji. They lay out the whole truth about Situ Ling. They ask for a huge favor. They need Tianji to help both of their teams, Jixing Yuan and Yaoguang Mountain, get into the final round. Once that happens, She Tianlin, Twenty-Seven, and Bu Xiu will sneak into the Chasing Water Divine Palace. Their mission is to find any information they can on that formation. Tianji is all in and promises to help.
Ji Bozai then gathers his own fighters from Yaoguang Mountain. He tells them everything about the Chasing Water Spirit Continent's conspiracy. He also tells them he plans to sacrifice himself to stop the formation. He gives everyone a chance to back out, no questions asked. But they have to wait until after the tournament to leave. Hearing about his plan to die for the greater good, not a single person leaves. They all decide to stay and fight alongside him.
Rigging the Tournament
The Qingyun Tournament begins. Yaoguang Mountain faces off against Jixing Yuan. To any outsider, it looks like a fierce battle. But you and I know they're actually working together. The fight between Ming Yi and Ji Bozai ends in a draw. This intentionally delays the next match.
After a few more "fights" where neither side can get a clear victory, the organizers are stuck. With a little secret help from Zheng Tao of Liubo Valley, they make an exception. They allow both Jixing Yuan and Yaoguang Mountain to advance to the finals. This breaks the old three-team rule for the final round. The first part of the plan is a success.
The Heist and the Sacrifice
While the tournament is going on, the infiltration team gets to work. Twenty-Seven finds a secret box that holds the details of the Heaven-Swallowing Formation. But it’s protected by a spiritual fire, and he gets badly burned.
She Tianlin sees this and doesn't hesitate. He ignores the danger and grabs the formation diagram himself. The act completely destroys his right arm. Ji Bozai uses his spiritual power to heal the wound. But he can't reconnect the severed meridians. The damage is too severe. He promises She Tianlin he will find a celestial treasure to forge him a new, fully functional arm.
Ming Yi sees all this and gets even more worried. She knows Ji Bozai is still planning to sacrifice himself. She pleads with him again. She tells him she can't bear to lose another person she loves. On the other side of things, Tianji is also worried about the finals. He gives his team, including Yan Xiao, a simple order. Survive.
The Final Showdown
The Alliance vs. The Beast
The final round begins. Four teams are on the field. Jixing Yuan, Yaoguang Mountain, Chasing Water Spirit Continent, and Liubo Valley. The first three have already formed a secret alliance. Their goal is to take down Situ Ling together.
It doesn't work. Situ Ling has completely absorbed the demon beast's power. He's on another level. Even the combined strength of three realms' worth of fighters can't touch him.
A New Plan
Situ Ling activates his secret formation. It begins pulling the vital spirits out of everyone on the field. This is it. Ji Bozai sees no other way out and decides to throw himself into the formation to destroy it.
But Ming Yi was ready for this. She immediately stops him. It turns out they had a backup plan all along. They agreed that if it came down to a life-or-death moment, they would act together. As two of the most powerful cultivators, they could combine their strength to break the formation. It's a long shot, but it's a chance to survive.
They clasp hands, their spiritual powers merging. Together, they fly straight toward the center of the formation. Situ Ling is stunned. He tries to stop them. But the demonic power inside him goes wild and takes control. A voice in his head tells him to ignore them. It says as long as he absorbs everyone's spirits, he will become the supreme ruler of the Six Realms.
