A "Friendly" Visit
The episode kicks off with Uncle Qu visiting Shen Haoming. It seems like a sweet moment. They talk about old times. Shen Haoming remembers Uncle Qu always serving him fancy tea as a kid. Uncle Qu tells Shen Haoming he supports him completely. He encourages him to be bold at the company. Shen Haoming is genuinely happy to hear it.
Of course, it's all a lie.
We see that Uncle Qu is secretly working with Steve. They are plotting something big. Their plan involves a mysterious child. They want to use this kid to blow up Shen Haoming's career. Specifically, they want to stop him from getting a seat on the board of directors.
The Leak
While this is happening, a guy named Han Weiping is snooping around the office. He's trying to dig up dirt. He has a wild theory. He thinks Shen Haoming's younger "brother," Shen Haochen, is actually an illegitimate son.
So, Han Weiping breaks into a room to access a safe. Shen Haoming gets up for a drink of water nearby but doesn't notice anything. Han Weiping tries a few passwords. He finally gets it right by using a wedding anniversary. Inside, he finds the documents he needs.
He immediately leaks everything online. The internet explodes with the rumor. This happens at the worst possible time for Shen Haoming. His board appointment was almost a done deal. Now, the whole situation is a disaster.

The Boardroom Confrontation

Shen Haoming tells his dad to leave the meeting. His father looks unwell. Shen Haoming takes him out. Even though he has a headache, his dad tells him to start buying back company stock to show strength.
Things get worse. Shen Haochen jumps out of the car he's in and runs away. When Shen Haoming hears the news, he rushes out to find him. This is where Han Weiping, the leaker, makes his move. He finds Shen Haochen. He tricks the boy, saying he'll take him to his mom. He leads him to a deserted area on the outskirts of the city. Shen Haochen gets suspicious, but he follows him anyway.
The Truth Comes Out (The Hard Way)
The Kidnapping
Back home, Yu Lan is sick with worry over Shen Haochen. Shen Haoming tells his mom to stay calm. He promises he will handle it. As he's about to leave, he gets a text from an unknown number. It's a picture of Shen Haochen's backpack.
Shen Haoming tracks them down. Han Weiping sees him coming and tries to run. Shen Haoming tells his wife, Xu Yan, to call the police while he chases after him. He finally finds Shen Haochen.
A Public Confession
Right at that moment, a swarm of reporters shows up. They start shouting questions. They want to know if the rumors are true.
In front of all the cameras, Shen Haoming makes a decision. He says it loud and clear. He is Shen Haochen's biological father. To protect the boy, Xu Yan steps forward. She claims that she is Shen Haochen's mother.
The Real Villain Steps Forward
The Aftermath at Home
They get Shen Haochen home, but he's completely shut down. He won't talk. He won't eat or drink. The family is terrified for him. But Shen Haoming can't stay. The shareholders are still causing chaos at the company, so he has to go back.
Elsewhere, a woman named Fang Lei confronts Han Weiping. She knows he leaked the story about Shen Haochen. She is furious with him.
The Coup
At the company, Uncle Qu finally drops the act. He's done pretending to be a friend. He directly challenges the Shen family. He announces that he now holds the largest number of shares. He tells Shen's father to step down. Shen Haoming finally sees his "uncle" for who he really is.
Then comes the final blow. We learn that Han Weiping is Uncle Qu's godson. The whole thing was a coordinated attack. The shock is too much for Shen's father. He collapses.
Yu Lan tries to stay strong, believing her husband will pull through. Xu Yan stays home to comfort Shen Haochen. In a strange side plot, Lin Tao invites Qiao Lin to dinner. He then tells the waiter to lock the door behind them.
