Episode Summary
Chen Hansheng uses his wits to win the competition for the Cheetahs. The team celebrates with a barbecue hosted by Qiu Tian, where Ling Zhengrong nervously meets her parents and we learn about her past. Back at the base, Chen Hansheng is officially transferred to the Cheetahs, and Ling Zhengrong is promoted to full Captain. The leadership also approves Qiu Tian's idea to invite families for the Army Day celebration.

The Final Move
Chen Hansheng doesn't panic. He just turns on the charm. He actually befriends the two guys who found him. He talks his way into swapping clothes with one of them. This lets him walk right into the village without anyone noticing. It's a pretty smooth move.
While walking, he runs straight into a captured Lei Peng. You'd think this would be a problem. But Lei Peng spots him immediately. He plays it cool and says something to the guards to get them to move on. He totally covers for Chen Hansheng. With a little more help from another villager, Chen Hansheng finally gets to the flag and captures it.
He then pulls out all the armbands from the other commandos. This proves he and his team reached the final destination together. They officially beat the Mobile Detachment. The Cheetahs get the win. That makes it five championships in a row for them.
A Family Barbecue
To celebrate, Qiu Tian decides to play host. She is from Jiangcheng, after all. She takes the whole team to a campsite. Her parents are already there waiting for them. Ling Zhengrong is a mess. He clearly did not expect to meet her parents this fast.
This little get-together gives us a lot of insight into Qiu Tian.
Qiu Tian's Origin Story
We learn her parents are both doctors. They were rarely home when she was a kid. She felt scared being alone, so she started learning martial arts. It turns out her mom, Lin Ying, also practices martial arts as a hobby. So her mom would teach her whenever she had time off.
One day, Qiu Tian was on a bus and saw a pickpocket. She confronted the guy directly. She told him to give the wallet back. He just shoved her, and she hit her head on the back of a seat. A soldier who was on the bus stepped in and took down the thief. That moment changed everything for her. She decided she didn't want to be a doctor. She wanted to be a soldier and protect people. Her parents supported her decision.
Back at the barbecue, Qiu Tian's dad seems to really like Ling Zhengrong. Later, Ling Zhengrong asks Qiu Tian for her parents' address. He insists on sending them a proper thank-you gift. She thinks it's unnecessary, but he won't let it go. So she gives him the address.
Big Changes at the Base
The command returns to the base. The higher-ups make an official decision. Chen Hansheng is getting transferred to the Cheetah Commando unit. His performance in the competition was just that good. Ling Zhengrong personally came to the motor pool to request him. Qiu Tian is thrilled. Chen Hansheng finally achieved his dream of joining the Cheetahs.
Chen Hansheng is emotional when he gets the news. He finally made it into the same unit his father once served in. The night before his transfer, he stays up late fixing every last vehicle in the repair shop. He doesn't want to leave any unfinished work behind. Zhang Lan finds him there and stays to help him finish.
Ling Zhengrong has a meeting, so he arranges for Lao Fang to go pick up Chen Hansheng.
A New Way to Celebrate
Ling Zhengrong and Qiu Tian are in a meeting about the upcoming Army Day. They need to figure out how to celebrate. In past years, they always put on performances. Ling Zhengrong speaks up. He suggests they skip the talent shows this year. He says they aren't very good at them anyway. He thinks they should just use the time for more training.
But Qiu Tian has a different idea. She suggests they invite the soldiers' families to the base. They could all celebrate the holiday together. The leadership likes this. They agree that the soldiers couldn't succeed without the support of their families. Qiu Tian's proposal gets approved.
Then comes another major announcement. Ling Zhengrong is now officially the Captain of the Cheetahs. The "acting" part of his title is finally gone.
The episode ends with Chen Hansheng arriving at the Cheetah barracks. He moves his gear into a room with Lei Peng and the others.
