Episode Summary
In this episode, Frank's attempt to trade data for a commission fails, forcing him and Dr. Shen on the run from kidnappers. The Cheetah unit comes together to help Yan Su with a family crisis, showing their deep bond. Meanwhile, Dr. Shen's daughter, Shen Yang, stumbles upon the corrupted data at her job, putting her in the crosshairs of Zhou Tianna and Chen Jun.

Dr. Shen's Bad Decisions
The episode kicks off with Dr. Shen. He’s drinking alone at a restaurant. He gets pretty drunk. On his way home, some guys try to rob him. Shen refuses to give them his money. So, they beat him up and take his wallet and watch anyway.
Just in time, Frank shows up. He pulls out a fake gun and scares the muggers off. He gets Shen's stuff back. Then he does something interesting. He takes some cash from Shen's wallet and gives it to the muggers. He tells Shen that sometimes, you just have to spend the money.
Frank takes Dr. Shen back to his place. He even makes him some soy milk. Shen tells Frank he will never go with him. But he says Frank can give his research data to Zhou Tianna. She can do whatever she wants with it.
A Failed Deal and a Narrow Escape
Frank takes the research data to a guy named Andre, who works for the Gaia Group. Andre is not impressed. He says his boss, John, wants Dr. Shen himself. The data alone isn't enough. If Frank can't deliver the doctor, he won't get paid. Frank says he needs more time and more money.
John’s people are tired of waiting. They decide to just grab Dr. Shen. They track him and Frank to a Japanese restaurant. Luckily, a man named Tanaka notices the suspicious guys. He warns Frank and Shen, and they manage to escape.
Frank takes Shen to one of his safe houses. They finally figure it out. These foreigners don't want the research for human health. They want to build genetic weapons. Shen is firm. He will not help them. But now he knows his life is in real danger. Frank tells Shen to stay put while he goes out to handle some business.
A Soldier's Burden
We then cut to the Cheetah unit's training base. Yan Su and Chen Hansheng accidentally break a door. Yan Su takes it to the Repair Squad. He learns that his captain, Fang Xiangzhong, broke the same door before. The captain had to buy the repair guys a month's worth of drinks to get it fixed. Yan Su also hears that Squad Leader Zhang Lan is leaving the army. His wife is pregnant and trying to run a chicken farm alone. She can't manage, so he's decided to go home.
We learn that Yan Su has his own problems. His girlfriend, Xiao Lan, has a sick father. They can't afford the hospital fees and surgery costs. Yan Su is completely stressed out. He isn't eating. He's distracted during training. But he hasn't told any of his teammates.
Lei Peng notices something is wrong. He secretly records Yan Su on his phone to find out what's going on. Later, Lei Peng, Chen Hansheng, and Zheng Yunxiao listen to the recording. They learn about Yan Su's financial trouble. They decide to solve it quietly. They don't want to broadcast it and burden teammates who have their own families. Lei Peng gets money from his family. Zheng Yunxiao sells his collectible planet cards. They and a few others transfer money to Yan Su.
Brotherhood in Action
Ling Zhengrong finds the recording on Lei Peng's phone. He learns about Yan Su's situation. Soon, the entire Cheetah unit is pitching in. Ling Zhengrong finds Yan Su. He gives him a stack of cash and a three-day leave pass. He tells him the leave was the most he could get approved, but the money is not his limit.
As lights-out approaches, Ling tells Yan Su to pack his bags and leave immediately. When Yan Su steps out of the dorm, his entire team is waiting for him. They all start stuffing money into his wallet. Qiu Tian and Zhang Lan even show up to give him more. Yan Su is overwhelmed and starts to cry. Qiu Tian tells him that next time, he needs to report any difficulties to the team right away.
A Dangerous Discovery
The episode ties back to Dr. Shen through his daughter, Shen Yang. She is working overtime at her company. A senior colleague is sick, so Shen Yang tells her to go home. She offers to upload some data for her.
While uploading, Shen Yang notices something is wrong with the data. Before she can look closer, her manager, Chen Jun, interrupts her. He tells her to go home. On the drive home, Chen Jun tells Zhou Tianna what happened. They both know the data is corrupt. Shen Yang's discovery is a problem. Zhou Tianna tells Chen Jun to move Shen Yang to a different project. She needs to be kept away from the data.
