Episode Summary
Shen Yang recovers and decides to stay at Ruihe, starting at the reception desk, but her aunt Zhou Tianna secretly puts her under surveillance. As Ruihe faces a financial crisis, Zhou Tianna plans to fraudulently market a regular drug as an Alpha Virus cure. Meanwhile, Zhang Lan struggles with family problems, and Chen Hansheng returns to duty for a camouflage exercise. The Cheetah unit is assigned a new mission to protect the real scientists who are working on a cure for the virus, setting up a direct conflict with Zhou Tianna's scheme.

You know, I was wondering how this show was going to connect all its dots. This episode just threw a huge new crisis into the mix. An "Alpha Virus" outbreak is happening. It's the perfect storm to push everyone into making some very questionable, and very dangerous, decisions.
Shen Yang's New Job and a Shady Roommate
Shen Yang is finally getting out of the hospital. She was planning a nice vacation with friends. But the new Alpha Virus outbreak in Yuehai puts a stop to that. Her travel plans are officially canceled.
She has a heart-to-heart with Qiu Tian. She tells her that her aunt, Zhou Tianna, wants her to leave the country. Shen Yang has made up her mind, though. She isn't going anywhere. She wants to stay at Ruihe. Qiu Tian is supportive. She just warns Shen Yang to be smart about it. Remember, Ruihe is still being investigated.
So, Shen Yang goes to Zhou Tianna. She says she’s staying. She also says she doesn't want any more special treatment. She's going to start from the very bottom. At the reception desk. Zhou Tianna agrees to this surprisingly quickly.
Then things get weird. Zhou Tianna asks Shen Yang to move in with her. She says it's so they can keep each other company. That is a complete lie. We see her setting up hidden cameras all over the house. She is spying on her own niece. It's all because Ruihe is bleeding money. Zhou Tianna is desperate to save her company and thinks Shen Yang is a piece of the puzzle.
A Soldier's Troubles at Home
Zhang Lan is really going through it. He still hasn't put in his papers to leave the military. But his wife is about to give birth. She has a heart condition. They also have a chicken farm that needs managing. He is clearly stressed out.
He can't even go with her to her doctor's appointments because of his duties. His wife tries to be strong. She only ever tells him good news. She knows the deal with being a military spouse and never complains.
Qiu Tian almost catches him looking up how to run a chicken farm on his phone. He sees how worried Zhang Lan looks. But Zhang Lan won't say a word about what's happening at home. So, Qiu Tian goes to their commander, Ling Zhengrong. Ling suspects it's about the farm. He says he has some old army buddies from Zhang Lan's hometown. He'll ask around quietly to see what's going on. Everyone knows Zhang Lan is the type to carry the world on his shoulders alone.
Back in the Field
The Alpha Virus outbreak means the military is on high alert. Chen Hansheng has had enough of sitting around the hospital. He wants to be back with his team. He practically begs the doctor to let him go. He finally gets discharged with a week's worth of medicine.
Right after he gets back, Ling Zhengrong takes the team out for a training exercise. This time, it's all about camouflage. Chen Hansheng is assigned the role of sniper. He gets four bullets to find four of his teammates hidden in the terrain.
He's sharp and finds the first few pretty fast. But Yan Su is hidden well. So, Chen Hansheng gets clever. He pretends he sees a snake and acts scared. Yan Su gets worried and moves, exposing his position. Chen Hansheng "shoots" him. Yan Su only realizes he was tricked after the fact.
A Desperate Plan
Back to Zhou Tianna. She decides to use the Alpha Virus crisis to make money. This is how she plans to fix Ruihe's financial problems. She digs up an old drug project from Chen Jun called "Jinbo." It's just a normal, unremarkable drug.
Her plan is to rebrand it. She's going to tell the public that Jinbo can prevent the Alpha Virus. It's a massive fraud. She tells her partner, Zhuang He, about the idea. He knows it's a terrible risk. But Zhou Tianna is dead set on it, so he doesn't push back.
Then, a guy named Zhao Bo shows up. He's a manager at an internet company. He saw Zhou Tianna's new marketing and wants in. He tells her the government has already assembled a research team to fight the virus. Zhao Bo says he can steal their scientific data for her. Zhou Tianna is sold. She agrees to partner with him.
The New Mission
This is where everything comes together. The Cheetah unit gets a new security detail. Their mission is to protect a group of medical experts from all over the country. These experts are the real deal. They're being brought together to research a cure for the Alpha Virus.
The team's job is to secure the research facility. They have to protect the scientists and, most importantly, their data. So, you have the Cheetahs protecting the legitimate cure. And at the same time, Zhou Tianna is about to launch a massive scam based on stealing that very same research. This is going to get messy.
