Episode Summary
This episode saw Xin Baicao, Mu Xuewei, and Mu Qingyang all captured by Night Raven's forces. We also learned the horrifying truth about Tang Lianyue, who is frozen solid. The episode ends with Su Muyu facing off against a hostile Tang Clan elder.

A Doctor Down
Night Raven finally gets his hands on Xin Baicao. He wastes no time mocking the doctor for spending his years practicing dance. Xin Baicao argues that a healer needs self-defense skills to save people. I guess that makes sense.
Night Raven thinks this is naive. He doesn't even bother fighting him. He just orders his men to knock Xin Baicao out. It's done in one move. Night Raven is incredibly smug about it. He seems thrilled that his "senior brother" was so easy to take down.
Trouble at the Tang Clan
A Poisonous Welcome
Mu Xuewei and Mu Qingyang arrive at the Tang Clan. They walk straight into an ambush. Masked assassins come out of nowhere. Mu Xuewei is a pro, though. She uses her poisons to fight back.
Her skill catches Night Raven's eye. He's impressed with how she handles her toxins. He decides he wants her for his own projects. He tells his men to capture them alive. But there's a huge problem. The attackers are "medicine men." They are totally immune to poison. Mu Xuewei and Mu Qingyang are quickly outnumbered and captured.
A Master Frozen in Ice
Mu Yumo is looking for Tang Lianyue. She finds his young apprentice, Tang Lian, and plays a clever trick. She tells him she is his future master's wife. He's skeptical at first. But she shows him his master's personal token. That convinces him.
He tells her Tang Lianyue is in closed-door cultivation. He warns her that the area is strange and dangerous. She doesn't listen. She goes to find him anyway. When guards hear her, Tang Lian steps in to create a diversion. He draws their attention so she can keep moving.
Mu Yumo finally gets to Tang Lianyue. The sight is a shock. He is completely frozen solid in a block of ice. When Tang Lian sees what happened to his master, he gets angry. He starts a fight with the guards. The chaos gives Mu Yumo a chance to escape. He yells at her to go find help.
She gets out and immediately tells Su Changhe what she saw. She also says Tang Lian is now in danger. They have to go back to the Tang Clan to save them.
Shifting Alliances and New Players
An Unlikely Rescue
Things were looking bad for Mu Qingyang. He was badly wounded and about to be captured. Then, a man riding a giant crane swoops down from the sky. He saves Mu Qingyang in the nick of time.
The rescuer is Lei Yunhe. He explains his logic simply. The Tang Clan wants to kill Mu Qingyang. Lei Yunhe is an enemy of the Tang Clan. Therefore, he had to save him. Mu Qingyang learns his savior is from the Lei Clan. He promises that once he recovers, he will cause some serious trouble for their shared enemies. Lei Yunhe seems to like this idea. He then turns back into a crane and flies off.
A Confrontation Brewing
Su Muyu goes to the site of the ambush to find Mu Qingyang. He finds bloodstains on the ground. He also sees strange butterflies hovering over the area. He's trying to figure out what happened.
Just then, a Tang Clan elder named Tang Tianlu appears. He is clearly not there for a friendly chat. He attacks Su Muyu without any warning.
Quick Hits
Bai Hehuai finds Xin Baicao's little snake. She immediately knows her friend is in danger.
Her father, Su Zhe, finds her looking worried. He knows she's thinking about Su Muyu. He tries to comfort her. He says Su Muyu has more good in him than Su Changhe ever will.
Su Changhe and Su Muyu also show up at the Tang Clan's grounds. They see a bunch of members just gambling and bragging. Su Changhe is unimpressed. Su Muyu, however, sees it differently. He thinks they are all exchanging information and using each other.
