Episode Summary
Wangquan Fugui's health is failing after he burned his life force, so he decides he must find Qingtong. While he enjoys a brief moment of peace with friends, Qingtong secretly visits and sees how weak he has become. Qingcheng confronts Fugui, revealing her connection to the Black Fox. Later, Qingcheng manipulates a situation to trap Qingtong, but when Qingtong shows mercy, Qingcheng murders an entire family to frame her for the crime.

Fugui's Declining Health
Let's get right to it. Wangquan Fugui is not doing well. Burning his life force to save the day really took a toll. He can feel his body failing him. His top priority now is finding Qingtong. He needs to see her before things get worse.
Quan Rumu is basically his worried mother hen. He scolds Fugui for being so reckless with his life. He forces medicine on him and promises to protect him one day. But Fugui only has one request. He needs Rumu to remove the travel restriction spell placed on him.
A Glimpse of a Normal Life
Fan Yunfei and Li Xueyang stop by for a visit. They bring good wine. Rumu tries to stop Fugui from drinking. It turns out Fugui can drink anyone under the table. We learn he gets this from his mother, Dongfang Huaizhu.
It's a nice moment. Rumu and Fan Yunfei are goofing around. For the first time in a while, Wangquan Fugui actually smiles. He sits alone in the courtyard, just taking it all in. This is the life he's always wanted. A normal life where he can laugh and get drunk with friends. But this peace just makes him think of Qingtong. Where is she? His internal injuries are serious. He knows he has to leave and find her soon.

Qingtong's Secret Visit
While Fugui sleeps in the courtyard, Qingtong finally appears. She watches him sleeping peacefully. She checks his spiritual energy and gets a shock. His power is less than thirty percent of what it used to be. He also has severe internal injuries. Seeing him like this makes her want to get justice for him.
The Black Fox Connection
She doesn't wake him up, though. She can't go back to him yet. We learn that the "love seed" inside her is somehow connected to the Black Fox. This connection is dangerous. It's the reason she has to stay away.
The Confrontation We've Been Waiting For
Qingcheng Makes Her Move
Qingcheng didn't return to Qianji City. Instead, she went straight to the Western Regions to find Fugui. She shows up and tries to play games. She asks him to write a letter for her "sister," making a jab about him looking down on Qingtong.
Fugui is calm. He picks up the brush and starts writing. Then he looks her dead in the eye and asks where Qingtong is. He knew who she was all along. Rumu and Fan Yunfei hear a fight and come running out. Qingcheng immediately escapes. Fugui sensed the Black Fox's aura on her. It confirms that Qingcheng is a huge problem.
The Journey Begins
This encounter settles it. Quan Rumu agrees to help and removes the travel ban. Fan Yunfei realizes just how weak Fugui is. He decides to go with him on his search. He'll just have to square it with Li Xueyang when she wakes up.

A Trap Is Set
Other things are happening in the background. Wangquan Hongye's health is also failing. Feng Tingyun is taking care of him. He decides he will step down as the leader of the Yiqi Alliance in three months. This will trigger a massive search for a talented successor.
Qingcheng sees this as an opportunity. She finds an elder from the Ximen family who hates Wangquan Hongye. She manipulates the elder into capturing demons from Qianji City. The goal is to force Qingtong to attack and kill the elder. If Qingtong kills a member of the Alliance, she becomes their permanent enemy.
Qingcheng's Brutal Plan
Qingtong gets word that her people from Qianji City have been captured. She immediately goes to the Ximen family home to confront them. She finds the Ximen family head has been absorbing demon power to get stronger. She is absolutely furious. She decides to get revenge for her people and for what was done to Fugui.
But Qingtong doesn't kill him. She defeats him and leaves him alive.
Qingcheng did not expect this outcome. So she decides to handle it herself. She personally massacres the entire Ximen family. Her plan is to make the whole world believe Qingtong did it. When that happens, Qingtong will have nowhere to turn. Her only safe haven will be Qianji City, right where Qingcheng wants her.
