Episode Summary
Qingcheng frames Qingtong for the murder of the Ximen family, hoping to isolate her. The evidence, a specific sword wound, points to Wangquan Fugui and Qingtong, causing a stir within the Yiqi Alliance. At a tense banquet, Fugui secretly reunites with a disguised Qingtong and they plan to investigate. They examine the bodies and Fugui confirms the killer mimicked Qingtong's style. After a confrontation, Fugui exposes Qingcheng as the murderer. Qingcheng tries to control Qingtong with a spell, but she breaks free, finally seeing his true nature. He escapes, and Fugui and Qingtong arrive at Elder Shouren's home only to find he has also been murdered.

A Messy Frame-Up
Qingcheng has a twisted plan. He wants to make the entire world believe Qingtong is a murderer. He thinks this will force her to rely only on him. It's a seriously creepy move.
His plan starts with the Ximen family. They get completely wiped out. Rumors immediately start to fly. Everyone blames Wangquan Fugui. This is because the wounds look like they were made by the Wenchen Sword. You know, the sword Fugui gave to Qingtong.
Wangquan Hongye hears about this. His health is failing, and this is the last thing he needs. He just wants his son, Fugui, to live a normal life. But he can't let this go. He tells Feng Tingyun to investigate the murders and find out what really happened.
A Tense Reunion
Wangquan Fugui asks Lady Yin to help find Qingtong. He gets no news about her. But he does hear about the Ximen family massacre. He also hears that he is the main suspect.
The Alliance Banquet
Elder Wangquan Shouren decides to host a banquet. This isn't for fun, though. He's trying to gather evidence and find the real killer. Feng Tingyun is furious about the whole situation.
Fan Yunfei is with Fugui at the party. They overhear everyone talking. The entire Yiqi Alliance is convinced Fugui and Qingtong murdered their family heads. Fan Yunfei then tells Fugui something important. He recently ran into Qingcheng, the guy who asked him for help with a letter.
The Woman in the Mask
Fugui spots a woman wearing a mask. She is carrying the Wenchen Sword. He knows instantly that it's Qingtong. He and Fan Yunfei walk right up to her.
She refuses to acknowledge them. She can't reveal her identity. Not until this whole mess is cleared up. Fugui figures out she's there for a token to get into the Huntain Prison. He's planning to go there himself.
Just then, Qingcheng appears. Fugui excuses himself. He tells Qingtong to meet him downstairs later. He also asks Fan Yunfei to keep someone busy for him tonight.
The Truth in the Prison
Qingcheng corners Qingtong. He asks her to choose between him and Fugui. She doesn't know how to answer.
Fan Yunfei interrupts them. He starts distracting Qingcheng, just as Fugui asked. Qingcheng gets angry when he realizes Qingtong has slipped away. A Black Fox clone appears and advises him to give up. It tells him to go to the Western Regions and help Gulizan instead. But Qingcheng is stubborn. He is obsessed with making Qingtong choose him.
A Prison Investigation
Wangquan Fugui and Qingtong head to the Huntain Prison. They need to see the bodies of the Ximen family for themselves. Fan Yunfei deliberately leads the angry Qingcheng right to them. Then he traps Qingcheng with a spell.
Fugui examines the wounds. He confirms they were made by the Wenchen Sword. But his faith in Qingtong doesn't waver. He realizes the killer must know her fighting style very well to copy it so perfectly. He leaves a small mark near the wounds. It's a clue for Feng Tingyun to find later.
A Desperate Confrontation
Qingcheng is enraged. He forcefully breaks the spell and tries to kill Fan Yunfei. Fugui and Qingtong rush back and stop the fight.
Qingcheng and Fan Yunfei both start blaming each other. Fugui has had enough. He confronts Qingcheng directly. He tells him he knows he killed the head of the Ximen family. The secret is out.
Qingtong tells Qingcheng that she and Fugui will go to Wangquan Mountain Villa to clear her name. This pushes Qingcheng over the edge. He uses a puppet talisman to control Qingtong. He orders her to kill Wangquan Shouren.
But she breaks his spell. Fugui was right all along. She finally understands. Qingcheng is the real killer.
Qingcheng panics and runs. The Black Fox clone appears again and helps him escape. Fugui, Qingtong, and Fan Yunfei give chase but lose him.
They immediately rush to Wangquan Shouren's home. They are too late. They find him already dead.
