Episode Summary
In this episode, Mr. Gao gives Xiaoxue a final chance to redeem herself by apologizing to Zhao Liao. She enrolls in Zhao Youzuo's school to get close to him, but he and his classmates reject her. After three months of trying, she shows small signs of change. Meanwhile, Zhao Liao wakes from his coma after hearing Xu Tutu's voice in videos filmed by Youzuo. The three "Zhaos" reunite and devise a plan to test if Xiaoxue's change of heart is real. She passes their test, offering to take Zhao's grandpa to the future for treatment. However, Mr. Gao discovers a critical error: three versions of Zhao Youzuo now exist in the timeline, threatening to cause a major time paradox.

Mr. Gao Draws a Line
I have to say, Mr. Gao is finally seeing the light. He discovers what Xiaoxue has been up to. He thought she was trying to fix her mistakes. Instead, she was out there brutally killing someone. He is completely disappointed in her.
Xiaoxue shows zero remorse. She basically gives him an ultimatum. Either turn her over to the cops or help her finish what she started. Mr. Gao is stuck. He decides to give her one last chance. She has to go back, give Zhao Liao a sincere apology, and bring him back. If she does that, Mr. Gao will even offer compensation for the trouble.
Xiaoxue Goes Back to School
A new semester has started. Wang Yiman and Xu Tutu are now desk mates. Zhao Youzuo is sitting by himself, which is just how he likes it. Then, out of nowhere, Xiaoxue shows up. She enrolls in their school and becomes Youzuo's new desk mate.
This is obviously a plan. At lunch, she sits next to Youzuo. She tries to casually ask where Zhao Liao is. Youzuo is not having it. He looks her dead in the eye. He tells her he knows she's from the future. He even saw her using that weird phone booth.
Her plan isn't working, so she tries a different tactic. She corners Youzuo at his house after school. She puts on a big show of regret. She says she feels terrible about using pineapple juice to hurt Zhao Liao's grandpa. Youzuo didn't know about that part. Hearing that she hurt his grandpa makes him furious. He throws her out immediately.
The next day, she brings a bunch of snacks to school. She's trying to win over the other students. It doesn't work. Youzuo has already told everyone to stay away from her. The kids avoid her completely. She then tries to get to Xu Tutu in the library. She offers her gifts to get her on her side. Xu Tutu doesn't want the gifts but agrees to help talk to Youzuo. Just then, Youzuo shows up and kicks Xiaoxue out again.
A Small Thaw
Xiaoxue doesn't give up. She poses as a delivery driver. She brings two concert tickets to Youzuo's house for his grandparents. They think it's a sweet surprise from their son and are thrilled. Youzuo sees Xiaoxue leaving. He yells that she didn't have to do it, but he lets his grandparents keep the tickets.
Things stay awkward for a while. We jump ahead three months.
Wang Yiman and Xu Tutu are outside building a snowman. Xiaoxue watches them from behind a tree. She looks so envious. Xu Tutu sees her and kindly invites her to join them. This is a big moment for Xiaoxue. It's the first time she's ever built a snowman with friends. You can see she's feeling what it's like to not be alone.
Zhao Liao Wakes Up
Here is the big news. Zhao Liao is awake! He's been in a coma for six months. It turns out Youzuo left a laptop by his bed. The laptop was playing videos of Xu Tutu that Youzuo had filmed. Zhao Liao woke up to the sound of her voice.
Xun Weilai comes back and finds Zhao Liao awake. He is so happy he starts crying. Later, Zhao Liao and Xun Weilai go home. Zhao Liao opens his safe and gives Xun Weilai a pile of cash. He tells him to go have fun and that it's to make up for the last six months. But Xun Weilai has changed. He says he doesn't care about fancy things anymore. He just wants a safe place to live.
The Three Zhaos Make a Plan
Zhao Liao and Xun Weilai quickly figure out that Youzuo knows who they are. They can't understand why Xiaoxue is at his school. That night, Youzuo runs into them on the last bus of the night. The three of them go out for skewers, just like old times.
Youzuo tells them he was very suspicious of Xiaoxue at first. But over the last few months, she seems like a different person. They decide they need to know for sure if she has really changed. So, the three of them come up with a test.
The next day, Youzuo finds Xiaoxue. He tells her that Zhao Liao is now in a vegetative state. He takes her to see him. Xun Weilai is there and lays into her. He tells her this is all her fault. Xiaoxue is overwhelmed with guilt. She finally confesses. She says she kept the time travel portal open so she could fix her mistakes. She offers to take Zhao Liao's grandpa back to her time for medical treatment.
A New Crisis
Xiaoxue is so excited. She calls Mr. Gao to report her plan. But as she's talking, Mr. Gao discovers something horrible. He found hidden travel logs in the system. The logs belong to Zhao Youzuo. There are now three versions of Zhao Youzuo existing in the same timeline. This has almost certainly created a massive time paradox. The situation is critical.
