Episode Summary
In this episode, Zhao Liao prepares to leave the past, leading to an emotional farewell dinner. The trio confronts a robber who turns out to be Xu Tutu's father, explaining her hidden past. In the future, Xiaoxue's company, Life Inc., is shut down, and she is tasked with closing the time loophole that is Xun Weilai. After returning to the past and learning that her friend Xu Tutu is fated to die young, Xiaoxue has a change of heart. At the last second, she stops Zhao Liao from traveling and reveals the truth, just as agents from Life Inc. arrive to capture Xun Weilai.

A Farewell Dinner and a Past Confrontation
Zhao Liao's Goodbye Meal
So, Zhao Liao is getting ready to head back to his own time. His parents find out he's moving out. They don't know the whole story, of course. His mom handles it the only way she knows how. She cooks him a huge farewell dinner. You can just feel how much she doesn't want him to go. It's a heavy scene.
The Robber's True Identity
We finally learn how Xun Weilai got that scar on his head. Years ago, he was on his way to meet Luo Aiwen. He was young and probably a little reckless. He ran into some robbers and decided to play the hero. He fought them off but got scarred in the process.
Well, today is the anniversary of that exact day. So the guys go back to the bank where it all happened. And you're not going to believe it. They see the same robber again. He's stalking some woman. The robber spots them, panics, and makes a run for it. They corner him in an alley.
Zhao Liao pulls off the guy's mask. It's Xu Tutu's father. This explains so much. Xu Tutu has been living under the weight of her father's criminal record. It got so bad she had to change her last name just to have a normal life. The guys worry he'll just keep doing this. So they film him right there. They tell him it's a warning. A little public shame to hopefully get him to clean up his act.
Trouble in the Future
Life Inc. Gets Shut Down
The future isn't looking so great for everyone. The time travel department finally caught up with Life Inc. They found some major violations. The company is getting shut down for a full overhaul. It was bound to happen.
Xiaoxue's New Mission
Xiaoxue makes it back to the future. She runs into Dr. Yu. Her memory is totally intact now. She remembers everything from years ago. She even remembers telling a younger Dr. Yu about her future success. We learn she hid out on an isolated island to escape being hunted. That experience is what actually made Life Inc. successful.
But she's back for a specific reason. She's here to deal with Xun Weilai. He's a time loophole that needs to be closed. Xiaoxue has a habit of backing up all her trips. She plans to use those backups and the energy logs to handle both Xun Weilai and Zhao Liao. The goal is to erase them from the past. People in that timeline won't even remember they were ever there.
A Last-Minute Change of Heart
A Final Meal and a Shocking Realization
Xiaoxue travels back to the past one more time. She makes a point to say goodbye to Wang Yiman and Xu Tutu. Zhao Liao wants to thank Xiaoxue for helping him before. He invites her to dinner, and she agrees.
During their conversation, she overhears something huge. She learns that Xu Tutu is actually Shu Tu. Xiaoxue knows Shu Tu is supposed to die young. She doesn't want her friend to die. You can see a new plan forming in her head.
Meanwhile, back at the house, Zhao's mom is making dumplings. All three versions of Zhao Youzuo are in the kitchen "helping." It's total chaos. They're all the same clumsy guy. The parents say their goodbyes to Xun Weilai and Zhao Liao. It's emotional. For the two travelers, it feels just like leaving home for the first time as kids. They can't stop crying. As they walk away, their mom feels this deep, unexplainable sadness.
The Phone Booth Ambush
The youngest Zhao Youzuo takes the other two to the station. He knows they're his future selves, but he still doesn't want them to leave.
Xiaoxue is waiting for Zhao Liao at a phone booth. Young Zhao Youzuo tells her to take good care of his future self. Zhao Liao puts the phone card in, ready to go.
Then it hits Xiaoxue. She suddenly remembers that her friend Xu Tutu's fate is still sealed. She's still going to die. Nothing has changed. She screams for Zhao Liao to stop. She tells him the truth about what's going to happen.
Just then, people from Life Inc. show up. They weren't there for Zhao Liao. Their real target is Xun Weilai. He's the loophole they came to close.
