Episode Summary
Life Inc. attempts to capture Xun Weilai, who surrenders as part of a larger plan. Using a coded message and a coordinated distraction, he and Zhao Liao fake their erasure during a time correction. Meanwhile, Zhao Youzuo uses a future ID to hide during the event, only to return to a timeline where his brother and his friend Xun Weilai have been erased from memory and history.

Life Inc. Makes Its Move
The episode kicks off with chaos. The system forcibly yanks Zhao Liao back to the future. It happens in a flash. Then, Life Inc. agents show up. They try to kidnap Xun Weilai and drag him to their timeline.
Everyone fights back hard. Xun Weilai manages to get away, but just barely. Before another character, Xiao Xue, gets recalled herself, she shouts a warning. She says if Life Inc. captures Xun Weilai, everything will reset. All the nodes will snap back to their original positions. That means Xu Tutu will still die.
As she's being pulled away, Xiao Xue drops her ID card. She vanishes, leaving the card on the ground. Zhao Youzuo is completely confused. He has no idea what she meant by it.
A New Plan Takes Shape
Back at their apartment, Xun Weilai and Zhao Youzuo look at the ID card. They try to figure out its purpose. Then, Xun Weilai has an idea. He thinks the card might be a pass to travel to the future.
This sparks a whole new plan. They need to find out the exact time of the system's "time correction." Right before it happens, they can use the card to escape to the future. After the correction is finished, they can come back. If it works, their memories won't get wiped. They'll get another chance to change the timeline.
Walking into the Lion's Den
The next day, Xun Weilai visits the spicy hot pot restaurant. It was his and Shu Tu's favorite spot. The way he orders his food makes the owner remember Xu Tutu. As he eats, Xun Weilai thinks about his time with Shu Tu. He feels a lot of regret for how he treated her.
Then, Mr. Gao from Life Inc. finds him. Before Gao can even say anything, Xun Weilai just gives up. He agrees to go back with them.
They take him to Life Inc. via the phone booth. Once inside, Xun Weilai carefully observes every detail of the office. He sees a scene where Xiao Xue is being fired. He deliberately yells at her. He calls her incompetent and says he'd only rate her a 30 out of 100. This is a coded message. Xiao Xue understands it's a signal to act at a specific time.
Stalling for Time
Xun Weilai is brought before Zhao Liao. The two immediately start arguing and fighting. Of course, this is all just an act to stall for time. Xun Weilai then turns to Dr. Yu. He starts asking a ton of questions about the system. Dr. Yu patiently answers every single one. With only three minutes left on the clock, Xun Weilai silently hopes his friend's part of the plan is working.
The Heist
The clock hits midnight. It worked. Zhao Youzuo uses Xiao Xue's ID card and successfully travels to the year 2058. He materializes right inside Life Inc. headquarters.
The staff is distracted trying to fix the system. Xiao Xue secretly meets Zhao Youzuo in a passageway.
The Great Escape
At the same time, Xun Weilai and Zhao Liao share a knowing look. They work together perfectly. They snatch Mr. Gao's work ID. Then they throw it down the hall. This creates the illusion that the time correction erased them both. The security staff sees the ID on the ground and gives up the chase. They don't realize Xun Weilai and Zhao Liao are hiding in an air conditioning vent.
A World Reset
Xiao Xue sends Zhao Youzuo back to his own time. He looks around, and at first, nothing seems different. But when he gets home, he realizes the horror. His family has no memory of Zhao Liao. His mother is back at her old job. Her dream of making movies is gone.
Zhao Youzuo searches for the "Trio" magazine and their special calendar. His parents threw them out. The next day, he goes to school. He asks Wang Yiman and Xu Tutu if they know Xun Weilai or the magazine. They have no idea who Xun Weilai is. They've only vaguely heard of the magazine.
Desperate, Zhao Youzuo pulls out a USB drive to show them a video they filmed together. The file is corrupted. He realizes the time correction is actively erasing Xun Weilai from history. It's trying to pull everything back to the original timeline. He refuses to accept it. He finds a copy of the "Trio" magazine and opens it. Xun Weilai's name is gone from the front page.
