Episode Summary
Chu Yu and Wei Yun set a trap in the Armory and expose the traitor, Wei Tongfeng. Wei Yun kills him on the spot. Later, a letter from Wei Yun's dead brother proves Chu Yu's innocence to him. He feels guilty and asks for an alliance. Chu Yu faints to avoid answering. They get a new lead that points to Yao Yong.

The Armory Division Trap
Chu Yu finally gets into the Armory Division. She uses the Fish Tally to get past the guards. A man leads her into a meeting room. Then the door slams shut behind her. She's trapped.
On the other side of the compound, Lu Qiba is having a word with Wei Yun. Lu Qiba is smarter than he looks. He already knows Chu Yu is the dancer from the Yixiang Pavilion. He thinks Wei Yun is just using the Armory to impress a girl. He warns Wei Yun not to overstep his authority.
Then, Lu Qiba pulls a fast one. He ties Wei Yun up. He throws him into a dark room. It just so happens to be the same room where Chu Yu is locked up. They immediately start fighting in the dark. It doesn't take long for them to realize who the other person is.
Playing Dead to Catch a Traitor
Lu Qiba goes out to address the Armory staff. He tells everyone that Wei Yun accused him of being a traitor. This gets the whole division on his side. He announces that Wei Yun is locked in the dark room. He orders that no one is to let him out until the investigation is over.
Inside the room, it's a death trap. Arrows start shooting out from hidden holes in the walls. Chu Yu and Wei Yun have to think fast. They decide to play dead.
The plan works. The real traitor, Wei Tongfeng, comes in to check on the bodies. They jump up and capture him. Wei Yun then puts on a show. He pretends he and Chu Yu aren't working together. He drags Wei Tongfeng out of the room. He leaves Chu Yu locked inside.
In front of everyone, Wei Tongfeng denies everything. He tries to pin the blame on Lu Qiba. Wei Yun isn't having it. He dismantles Wei Tongfeng's lies in just a few sentences. Wei Tongfeng gets arrogant. He thinks Wei Yun needs him alive to find the person behind the whole plot. He is very wrong. Wei Yun grabs a bow and kills him with a single arrow. He says he doesn't need a traitor's help to find the truth.
Wei Yun heads back to the dark room. But Chu Yu is already gone. She escaped on her own.
A Brother's Final Wish
Chu Yu limps back to the Wei residence. Her leg was injured by an arrow. She got hurt while protecting Wei Yun in the trap room. Wanyue sees her injury and says they should just leave. Chu Yu refuses. She didn't come this far just to give up.
Wei Yun confronts her. He still doesn't trust her. Chu Yu argues back. She says she doesn't owe the Wei family anything. Her conscience is clear. During the argument, they struggle. The trigger mechanism for the Eight-sided Crossbow falls out of Wei Yun's pocket.
Chu Yu is crushed. She realizes Wei Jun must have told Wei Yun her secrets. She feels betrayed by her dead friend. She drags her injured leg and leaves the room. After she's gone, Wei Yun finds a letter left behind by his brother.
The letter is a game-changer. Wei Jun wrote that whoever finds this letter must help Chu Yu. Wei Yun puts it all together. Chu Yu never saw this letter. If she had, she would have just shown it to him. She wouldn't have needed to steal a tally and sneak into the Armory. This proves she never went through Wei Jun's belongings. She's not the schemer he thought she was.
A New Alliance and a New Lead
This hits Wei Yun hard. He feels incredibly guilty. He finds Chu Yu and quietly asks if she will stay. He wants them to investigate the truth together. Chu Yu has no idea what to say. So she just faints. A classic move.
The next day, Wei Yun sends her a bunch of gifts to try and make up. She refuses to see him. But you can tell she's thinking about his offer. He does seem sincere about working together.
Lu Qiba's investigation turns up a solid lead. He found out Wei Tongfeng was meeting a man at a place called Chunfenglou. Lu Qiba followed this man. The man went straight to Yao Yong's residence.
The episode ends with Wei Yun officially taking command of the Armory Division. The Wei family flag is raised again over the compound.
A Doctor's Crush
There was also a small side plot. Song Qingping is treating Chu Linyang. She can see he's recovering quickly. His body is fine, but his meridians are still a bit blocked. She teaches him some massage techniques to help.
He notices a lot of needle marks on her wrist. He figures out she's been practicing acupuncture on herself to get better. Song Qingping gets embarrassed. To make her feel better, Chu Linyang shows her his own scars. He tells her she can practice on him from now on. He's so understanding about it. You can see Song Qingping is completely smitten.
