We are inching closer to the big international debut, and the nerves are real. Gun Yueliang is spiraling. She is terrified the Paris fashion crowd won't get it. She thinks her ancestral Miao Embroidery might embarrass everyone on the global stage.
Ma Qinghao steps up as the ultimate hype man. He doesn't just offer empty platitudes. He points out the obvious. Their edge is their uniqueness. The specific Miao cultural patterns and the legends stitched into the fabric are what foreigners want. They want an experience, not a copy of what they already have. The "Three Grasses" crew is livestreaming the climbing action to drum up business. Back at the workshop, the women are strategizing. They need to update the designs for France. Then there is the scare with Liu Yangxuanyu. He went back to Hangzhou. His mom wants him to stay there after his teaching gig ends. Xiaodie is heartbroken. Grandma Wu offers some wisdom. She tells Yueliang that love is like new fabric. You have to soak and beat it before it gets soft.
Grandma was right. Liu Yangxuanyu shows up with his luggage. He fought his parents and won. He is staying in the village to work at the embroidery factory.
The episode ends on a rainy note. The weather is killing the tourism numbers. Ma Qinghao and Wu Aicao are depressed about the empty guest rooms. Yueliang and Long Fengbi have to cheer them up.
