We are deep into the good stuff now. Ma Qinghao sees Wu Aicao working herself to the bone on her livestreams. He steps up with a solid plan. He suggests they merge their efforts into a unified brand called "Three Grasses." He even hands over his own account for her to use. Wu Aicao is thrilled. It is the kind of teamwork I love to see.
The Runway Event
The big day finally arrives. The Miao Embroidery fashion show is packed. You couldn't find an empty seat if you tried. Gun Yueliang kicks things off with a beautiful rendition of "Flying Song of Miao Mountains." The energy is high. We get a performance from the children's Lusheng team next. Then Long Fengbi teams up with Yi singer Ao Jie A Ge for a duet of "Shuixi Ballad." Wu Aicao is right there with her phone. She streams the whole thing. She shows off the Cliff Village scenery to the entire internet.
The fashion show itself is the main event. The kids walk first. Then we see young embroiderers in modern, modified Miao outfits. Gun Yueliang and Long Fengbi come out in traditional formal wear. The "Auntie team" shows off wedding attire. Xiaodie and Liu Yangxuanyu walk the runway together.
But the real showstopper is Grandma Wu Enyun. She walks out with help from the others. She is wearing a dress with hundred-year-old traditional patterns. It is stunning. The crowd goes wild with applause. The mix of old tradition and new style is a total success.
Career Moves and Family Dinners
Life moves on after the show. Everyone has a new goal. Gun Yueliang designs some incredible new clothes. Long Fengbi loves them. She is bummed she can't wear them yet because of her pregnancy. She just has to look and admire for now.
Liu Yangxuanyu makes a big decision. He goes to the embroidery factory and announces he is staying. He plans to work there after his teaching stint ends. His family is in the clothing business. He knows the industry well. Ma Xiumei worries his parents might object. He assures them his parents are open-minded. The team is happy to have him.
The Dinner Table Tension
The Via Ferrata climbing project is almost done. Ma Qinghao and Xu Baiyun work on the promo plan. They decide Wu Aicao should livestream it. Later, Ma Qinghao takes Gun Yueliang home for dinner. His dad, Ma Yongbing, goes overboard. He cooks eight dishes and a soup. It is a feast. But things get awkward. Ye Mei guesses her daughter is spending a lot of time at the Gun house. Gun Changpu and his wife tell her not to worry.
On the walk back, Ma Qinghao tries to smooth things over. He tells Yueliang not to mind his mother. His parents are just jealous that Gun Dayue has grandkids already. Yueliang gets it. But she is focused on her career right now. She wants to get through this busy period before thinking about family planning.
From the Village to Paris
Xiao Baihe brings the Women's Federation Chair to visit the factory. The Chair is impressed. She loves what Ma Xiumei and Yueliang have done. She promises funding to help more women learn embroidery. Then she drops a bombshell. The tourism bureau is holding an event in Paris at the end of the year. She invites them to go and show off their Miao embroidery. Yueliang says yes immediately. This is a massive opportunity.
The Via Ferrata project is officially finished. Xu Baiyun climbs the rocks herself for the promo video. Wu Aicao films it and the footage looks great. Lu Guifu gets a promotion. He moves from B&B security to captain of the Via Ferrata security team. He and his wife are incredibly grateful.
Ma Qinghao sticks by Yueliang's side. He is still stressed about the pressure from their parents. He decides to just let things happen naturally. Yueliang throws herself into designing for the French show. This is their chance to go international. She is determined to make it perfect.
