Episode Summary
Lin Xirou trades Jiang Baichuan for her captured hunters and agrees to take Yan Tuo. Yan Tuo confronts Lin Xirou about his parents' murder and slashes her face before being abducted to a dark cave. Nie Jiuluo discovers Yan Tuo is missing and formally joins the Nanshan hunters, revealing her identity as the "Feng Dao" to rescue him.

The Party is Over Before It Starts
The team pulled off their latest scheme perfectly. Everyone is riding high on the victory. Que Cha is especially thrilled. She decides to cook noodles for the whole crew to celebrate. It feels like a nice, domestic moment. But you know that peace never lasts long in this show.
Lin Xirou interrupts the good vibes. She uses Jiang Baichuan’s phone to call Xing Shen. She wants to make a deal. She offers to trade Jiang Baichuan for the four hunters the enemy captured. Xing Shen plays hardball. He agrees to give her the hunters. He even throws in an old friend, Chen Fu, as a bonus. But he has a steep price. He demands she take Yan Tuo off his hands. Lin Xirou agrees. She tries to keep her cool, but she is boiling inside. The objects around her start vibrating from the sheer force of her anger.
Bad Blood
Feng Mi goes to see Yan Tuo. She brings food, but she is really there to check on him. He looks terrible. He is haggard and worn down. Feng Mi tears up just looking at him.
Then Lin Xirou storms in. She is on a warpath. She demands to know when Yan Tuo started working with the Nanshan hunters. She knows they want to redeem him. Yan Tuo is shocked. He drops the pretense. He tells her he used to see her as family. Then he read the diary. He knows she killed his parents. He doesn't wait for an apology. He pulls a needle from his bracelet. He slashes her face while she is off guard. Lin Xirou loses it. Her expression turns terrifying.
The Deal Goes Sour
Xing Shen tells Nie Jiuluo about the trade. He swapped Yan Tuo for the Di Xiao. Nie Jiuluo is furious. She knows Lin Xirou suspects Yan Tuo already. This trade is basically a death sentence. She rushes to Yan Tuo’s house that night.
She is too late. The house is empty. There is a bloodstain on the floor. It is a gut punch. She realizes he was taken away with serious injuries. Lin Xirou dragged him to a dark cave. This is where Lin Xirou used to live. It is damp and sunless. She used to dream of wearing human skin and walking in the sun. Now she is done pretending. She embraces the darkness and cuts ties with her humanity.
A New Resolve
Nie Jiuluo wakes up from a nightmare the next day. She is terrified for Yan Tuo. She stares at a sculpture she made. Her fear turns into focus. She decides to investigate every single asset owned by the Roushan Group. She will tear the city apart to find him.
Lin Xirou is not doing well either. The wound on her face is spreading. It looks nasty. She puts on her snake necklace. It is a reminder to never trust humans again. Her lackey, Xiong Hei, sends his guys out. They are hunting for Lin Ling and Xiao Luo. The tension is thick.
The Mad Blade Steps Up
Xing Shen does some research. He figures out Lin Xirou’s secret. She is a hybrid of Di Xiao and human. She is trying to purge her human genes. He realizes the "Yu Wang" meat can fuse genes, but it can also separate them.
The New Year is approaching. Que Cha hands out gifts to keep morale up. Nie Jiuluo crashes the party. Some of the new recruits don't recognize her. She doesn't waste time. She draws her weapon, the "Feng Dao." She introduces herself properly. The rule is for the Blade to stay hidden. But Yan Tuo is missing. She is done hiding. She helped them with intel before, but now she is joining the front lines.
She gets into a shouting match with Xing Shen. He thinks she is just here because she is in love. She is mad he sold out her boyfriend. Yu Rong steps in before they kill each other. They get to work. Yu Rong interrogates the Di Xiao. Datou checks the assets. A madman wanders up to Nie Jiuluo with candy. He tells her the Nanshan team is finally assembled.
