Episode Summary
The Nanshan hunters suffer heavy losses against the Di Xiao. Xing Shen sacrifices himself to take out Xiong Hei. A mysterious White-Haired Witch kills Lin Xirou and kidnaps an injured Nie Jiuluo. Yan Tuo survives and learns Lu Xian's tragic backstory involving the Roushan Group. Later, Yan Tuo discovers a clue linking the White-Haired Witch to Nie Jiuluo's mother.

The Cave Stand
The situation for the Nanshan hunters looks grim right from the start. The Di Xiao are swarming them. Que Cha is already hurt and bleeding. The group tries to fight back. But these monsters are too fast and too strong. The hunters are losing ground. They have to scramble into a narrow cave to survive. The Di Xiao are too big to squeeze inside. It gives the team a moment to breathe.
They sit down to figure out a plan. They don't have enough people for a fair fight. Nie Jiuluo makes a dangerous call. She ignores Xing Shen’s protests and takes the drug. Her eyes turn blood red instantly. It looks like some dark power takes over. She charges out to slaughter the monsters. Xing Shen and Yu Rong don't let her go alone. They jump into the fray. The three of them manage to cut down several Di Xiao in a flash.
Over the Edge
Xing Shen gets locked in a duel with Xiong Hei. They are evenly matched. The fight drags on. Xing Shen starts to lose his stamina. He realizes he can't win this cleanly. He decides to end it on his own terms. He grabs Xiong Hei and throws himself off the cliff. They both plummet into the abyss.
Nie Jiuluo is still running on adrenaline and drugs. She swings her blade at Lin Xirou. But she sees Xing Shen fall. The distraction costs her. Lin Xirou slashes her across the stomach. Nie Jiuluo collapses. Lin Xirou barely flinches at her own injuries. Just as Nie Jiuluo passes out, a White-Haired Witch appears. She moves like lightning. She flashes behind Lin Xirou and decapitates her with one strike. Blood sprays everywhere.
Vanished
Yan Tuo has been unconscious for a while. He wakes up in a daze. He thinks he sees his sister, Xin Xin, guiding him to safety. He wakes up again. It was just a dream within a dream. The reality is much worse. The survivors are collecting the bodies of the Nanshan hunters. The mood is heavy.
Suddenly, the White-Haired Witch grabs Nie Jiuluo. She drags her away before anyone can react. They disappear in seconds. Xing Shen is also missing. The only thing left of him is his gourd sitting on the ground. It’s a lonely image.
The Doctor’s Secret
Yan Tuo wakes up again a week later. Lu Xian has been by his side the whole time. He used every medicine he had to save him. Yan Tuo tries to get up. He is desperate for news about Nie Jiuluo. The hunters have searched everywhere. They found nothing.
Yan Tuo finally asks Lu Xian why he stayed with the Roushan Group for so long. Lu Xian opens up. He used to have a happy family. His father needed an organ transplant. They found a donor. But the donor disappeared on the day of the surgery. Lin Xirou’s people killed the donor for blood. His father died. His mother died of grief shortly after. Lu Xian was an orphan. The Roushan Group raised him and paid for his medical school. He hates them. But he owes them his life. Helping Yan Tuo is the only way he can fight back.
A Familiar Necklace
Yan Tuo goes back to Nie Jiuluo’s house. He has to hide the truth. He tells Lu Jie and Uncle Changxi that Nie Jiuluo is just busy with important business. He goes into her room that night. He looks through her things. He finds a photo of a woman wearing a necklace. Lu Jie tells him it is Nie Jiuluo’s mother. Yan Tuo freezes. He saw that exact necklace on the White-Haired Witch.
The surviving hunters hold a memorial. They follow the rules and write the names of the dead on tablets. Yu Rong writes down Jiang Baichuan’s name. She is heartbroken. She thinks back to their training days. They used to laugh and fight side by side. Now most of the team is gone.
