Episode Summary
Nie Jiuluo gives Yan Tuo a powerful heirloom weapon before tracking a gathering of Earth Owls in West City. Her cover is blown during a highway chase, leading to a dangerous ambush at the docks where she is outnumbered. Yan Tuo ignores orders to stay away and arrives just in time to save her from a fatal attack.

The Bracelet Exchange
Nie Jiuluo makes a big move right at the start. She hands her secret heirloom bracelet over to Yan Tuo. She doesn't hesitate at all. She trusts him completely. However, she doesn't realize the true value of that jewelry. It isn't just a pretty accessory. It is a weapon used by Nanshan hunters to fight the Di Xiao. It is also the only proof of identity that Jiang Baichuan will trust.
Yan Tuo is clearly smitten. He goes out early to buy her a specific breakfast. He finds her asleep in the car when he gets back. He doesn't want to wake her up. The noise from the street ruins that plan. He offers her the hot food. Nie Jiuluo can't eat a bite. She is too focused on the mission. The Roushan Group runs West City. Rescuing Jiang Baichuan from them is going to be a nightmare.
Suspicion at Home
Things are getting weird over with the bad guys. A young guy asks Brother Zheng for time off. He claims his mom is in the hospital. Zheng doesn't buy the story. Then his phone buzzes. He gets a mysterious text. Everyone else around him gets the same message. Something is going down.
Fourth Sister is busy too. She drops Lin Ling off at Yan Tuo's house. Lin Xirou ordered it. Fourth Sister immediately grills Yan Tuo. She wants to know why he went out so early. Yan Tuo panics a little. He says he went to get breakfast. He complains that the food doesn't taste like it used to. Fourth Sister looks at the food on the table. She is suspicious. She decides to let it go for now.
The Intel and the Chase
Lin Ling isn't just sitting around. She investigates the situation. She finds out the unretired Di Xiao are gathering in West City. She waits for Fourth Sister to leave. She tells Yan Tuo immediately. Yan Tuo calls Nie Jiuluo with the update. They form a plan. They will target the stragglers.
Nie Jiuluo teams up with Xing Shen. She tracks the targets. Xing Shen handles the ambush. Nie Jiuluo waits at the entrance to West City. She watches the traffic. She spots a suspicious car. She follows it.
Two Di Xiao in human form are inside the car. They are talking about the secret gathering. The driver is sharp. He notices Nie Jiuluo tailing them. He pulls into a service area. He gives her a look. He knows she is there.
Showdown at the Docks
Nie Jiuluo calls Yan Tuo. She tells him her cover is blown. She plans to fight them at the hotel instead. Yan Tuo wants to come help. She refuses. She thinks it will mess up the plan.
The Di Xiao are smart though. They lure her away from the hotel. They head toward the docks. Xing Shen loses contact with Nie Jiuluo. He freaks out. He sends his people to search the highway. Yan Tuo can't reach her either. He ignores her orders. He drives out to find her.
Nie Jiuluo gets out of her car at the pier. She has her sword ready. The Di Xiao are hiding in the shadows. Yan Tuo guesses she is at the docks. He races there.
The fight starts. Both Di Xiao attack Nie Jiuluo at once. She handles the first one easily. The second one fights hard. He injures her. The first creature recovers and attacks while she is down. It looks bad. Yan Tuo arrives just in time. He kills the Di Xiao. He saves Nie Jiuluo.
