Episode 3 Recap
Panic Mode for Mom
Feng Rui’s mother is sweating bullets. Tan Siting is back in the country. This brings up a lot of old, ugly history. Years ago, the mother forced Siting away. She even lied and told Siting her baby died. That baby is very much alive. Now, the mother is terrified Siting will find out the truth.
She starts hovering around Wen Peiyan’s workplace. She needs to make sure her son stays distracted. Peiyan drops some big news. She and Feng Rui are officially a couple as of last night. The mother is thrilled. She can barely contain herself. She even suggests keeping the grandson at her place for a few days to give the couple space. She calls Feng Rui immediately. She wants them to get married right away. Feng Rui feels rushed. He tells her he will handle it, but he sounds hesitant.
The Revenge Rebound
Feng Rui is totally in the dark. He has no idea about his mother's lies. He still believes Siting was the heartless one. He thinks she abandoned him and disappeared for eleven years without a word. His decision to date Peiyan isn't exactly pure romance. It feels like a reaction to Siting’s return. He is dating Peiyan out of spite.
Ballet in the Genes
Siting spots a little boy outside the dance studio during the day. He is peeking inside. He tries to copy the ballet moves. Siting loves his enthusiasm. She steps out and teaches him a few basics.
Later that night, we see the same boy at Feng Rui’s house. He is practicing on his toes. Feng Rui’s mother snaps at him. She hates seeing him dance. She tells him boys shouldn't learn ballet. But the kid can't help it. It must be genetics. He even has a photo of a girl dancing ballet. He is convinced the dancer in the picture is his mother.
The Most Awkward Dinner
Peiyan wants to make her training class a success. She invites Siting to dinner to pick her brain. She has zero clue about the history between Siting and Feng Rui. They chat politely. Then Feng Rui shows up to pick Peiyan up.
The atmosphere gets weird fast. Siting sees them together. She assumes they are a happy family. She thinks they even have a child together. She decides to play it cool. She treats Feng Rui like a polite stranger. She talks to him like he is just a colleague's husband.
A Diamond in the Rough
Siting is focused on work. She wants to find new talent. She spots a young girl from a remote mountain area. The girl is about eleven or twelve. She started late, but her rhythm is incredible. The teachers hold a meeting. They argue about whether to accept her. The principal makes a call. If the girl can pass a specific test tomorrow, she gets in.
The meeting ends, and Siting sees the girl’s mother leaving. The mother looks defeated. Siting asks what is wrong. It turns out they can't afford the fees. Siting refuses to let talent go to waste. She offers to let the girl stay at her house for the night. She promises to teach her the moves for the exam.
Old Memories
That night, Siting coaches the girl. The kid learns fast. She dances for Siting to show her gratitude. This triggers something in Siting. She flashes back to college. She remembers when Feng Rui joined a ballet interest class just to get close to her. They were each other's first love. The connection was deep. Even after all the pain, those memories still feel warm and sweet to her.
