Episode 7 Recap
The Most Awkward Shopping Trip Ever
Wen Peiyan makes a bold move. She asks Tan Siting to help pick out wedding dresses. Her logic is simple. Tan Siting just got back from France. She has style. Tan Siting agrees to go. This turns into a disaster fast. Feng Rui is there. He sees his ex helping his current fiancée. He hates it. He asks Tan Siting why she even showed up.
Tan Siting keeps her cool. She reminds him that Wen Peiyan invited her. She acts like the past is dead. She says there is no need to make a scene. But her poker face hides the truth. Watching them pick venues and design invitations hurts. Seeing the wedding flowers breaks her heart a little. She thought she was over it. She was wrong.
A Quick Escape
Xiaoyuan comes to the rescue. He texts Tan Siting about dinner. It gives her the perfect excuse to leave. She sends him her location immediately. He picks her up.
The car ride is quiet. Tan Siting rolls down the window. She needs the cold air to clear her head. She feels like she is suffocating. Xiaoyuan notices her mood. He has loved her for years. He wants to tell her. He almost does. But fear stops him. He worries a confession would ruin their friendship. He chooses silence.
Family Interference
Feng Rui’s mother causes trouble again. She hears about the dress shopping trip. She does not like it. She tells Feng Rui to move Wen Peiyan to a different work location. She wants to keep the two women apart.
Feng Rui shuts this down. He refuses to mess with Wen Peiyan’s career. He tells his mother to back off. He claims he is marrying Wen Peiyan. That should be proof enough that he is done with the past.
Broken Dreams
Tan Siting checks on the student who quit the competition. The girl claimed she was injured. The reality is messier. Tan Siting walks into a family war. The student loves ballet. Her mother hates it. The mom thinks dance is a dead end. It pays poorly. The career is short. She wants her daughter to be an actor instead.
The girl has no interest in acting. Her mother does not care. She uses high-pressure tactics to control her daughter. Tan Siting watches this unfold. She wants to defend the student. But she holds back. She is an outsider here. Also, she knows the mother is not entirely wrong about the industry.
The Swan
Feng Rui focuses on business. His winery has a new product. It is a red wine called "Swan." The marketing team needs a plan. Someone suggests a ballet theme for the ads. It fits the name. It makes the brand look expensive. Feng Rui loves the idea. He approves it immediately.
Fate has a twisted sense of humor. The team casts a dancer for the commercial. They choose Tan Siting. Feng Rui did not see that coming.
