Episode Summary
Feng Rui buys flowers for Tan Siting, but she makes him give them to his fiancée, Wen Peiyan. Wen Peiyan is thrilled, unaware of the source. Xiao Yuan struggles with his decade-long unrequited love for Tan Siting while his parents try to block the relationship due to her past. At a bridal fitting, Feng Rui’s mother threatens Tan Siting, but Tan Siting strikes back by mentioning her son, Lele. It is revealed the mother lied about the baby's death years ago to separate them.

The Flower Shop Fiasco
Feng Rui actually tries to do something nice for once. He notices an employee has a crush on a girl who loves flowers. He decides to play wingman and takes the guy to the flower market. While browsing, a colleague points out a unique green and white bouquet. Feng Rui recognizes it immediately as "Velvet."
Of course, he runs into Tan Siting at the exact same stall. The owner only has one bunch of Velvet left. Feng Rui steps back and lets Tan Siting have it.
But Tan Siting doesn't keep them. She catches Feng Rui outside and hands the flowers right back. she tells him to give them to Wen Peiyan instead. She basically forces him to be a good fiancé. Feng Rui takes the flowers to Wen Peiyan’s workplace. Wen Peiyan is shocked. She has never received flowers from him before. She assumes he picked them out himself and feels like he finally cares about her. She is beaming with happiness, completely unaware that her ex-rival picked them out.
Mom Spins a Web
Feng Rui’s mother spots the flowers at home. She watches Wen Peiyan arranging them. Wen Peiyan mentions the flowers' origin. This triggers the mother immediately. She warns Wen Peiyan not to get too close to Tan Siting.
She decides to rewrite history. She tells Wen Peiyan that Tan Siting used to chase Feng Rui years ago, but he ignored her. It’s a total lie. Wen Peiyan buys it, though. She feels secure. She thinks Feng Rui is attentive now and the wedding is close. She isn't worried about some old desperate ex.
Xiao Yuan is Down Bad
Xiao Yuan is getting older and his parents are panicking. He refuses to date. His sister knows the truth. He is still hung up on Tan Siting. He has loved her since the day they met. He waited through her relationship with Feng Rui. He waited when she went abroad. He has kept in touch for over ten years.
His parents are not having it. They were neighbors with Tan Siting. They know about the scandal. They know she got pregnant by Feng Rui out of wedlock. They don't want their son with "that" kind of woman.
Tan Siting comes over for dinner. The parents make it awkward fast. They loudly talk about how Tan Siting and Xiao Yuan are like siblings. They ask her to introduce Xiao Yuan to other girls. Tan Siting agrees politely. Xiao Yuan fumes silently at the table.
After she leaves, Xiao Yuan explodes. He tells his parents to back off. He drives to Tan Siting’s apartment. He wants to ask her out for a drink. He wants to confess. He stares at her window until the lights go out. He loses his nerve. He is terrified she will reject him again.
The Dressing Room Showdown
The bridal shop calls Wen Peiyan for a final fitting. Feng Rui is busy with work. Wen Peiyan invites Tan Siting to come along. This is a recipe for disaster because Feng Rui’s mother is also there.
The mother puts on a fake smile. She greets Tan Siting warmly while Wen Peiyan is watching. The second Wen Peiyan goes into the fitting room, the mask drops. She hisses at Tan Siting to stay away from her son.
Tan Siting isn't the scared girl she was ten years ago. She fights back. She drops a heavy hint about Lele needing his biological mother.
Feng Rui’s mother looks like she saw a ghost. Her face twists in fear. We finally get the full ugly truth. Years ago, she lied to everyone. She told Tan Siting the baby died after a premature birth. She told Feng Rui that Tan Siting abandoned the baby and ran off. She stole the child and manipulated everyone. Now, she realizes her karma is coming to collect.
