Episode Summary
Song Jingye dies in a trap set by Li Zhizhuo. Sun Siming kills Master Lin, ruining Yunting's plan to save him. Wen Yu rescues the group but demands Fu Sheng cure her dying father. Sun Siming lies to Yunting, claiming Li Zhizhuo is a traitor, while unknowingly accepting a dangerous spy into his home.

Another One Bites the Dust
Song Jingye made a massive mistake. He knew the Lin house was a death trap. He went in anyway. That decision cost him everything. He walked right into a setup, tripped in the attic, and fell to his death. It wasn't an accident. Li Zhizhuo orchestrated the whole thing. He used the house's "mystery man" to take Song out of the picture.
We finally know who that mystery man is. It is Master Lin. He belongs to the Wall-Breaking Organization. He faked his death years ago to get out. Song Jingye’s death ruined his cover.
The Failed Cover-Up
Yunting drugs Fu Sheng and Gu Tian. She drags them to Master Lin. Lin is her "senior brother" and he is ready to die to protect her. He wants to give her a clean story for the Wise Master. Yunting can't do it. She cares about him too much.
She comes up with a different plan. She wants to kill Fu Sheng, Gu Tian, and Sun Siming instead. She plans to frame them for everything so Lin can escape. She even hands Lin a token to help him run.
It almost works. But Sun Siming is a cockroach. He wakes up right as Lin prepares to kill the unconscious Fu Sheng. Sun attacks from behind and kills Lin instantly.
Jealousy and Bargains
Li Zhizhuo shows up late. He sees Lin is dead. He praises Sun Siming to his face, but I can tell he wants to silence him. Wen Yu arrives just in time with her guards. She saves Fu Sheng and takes Sun Siming along for the ride.
Fu Sheng wakes up the next day. The first thing he does is ask Wen Yu about the "woman in black." Big mistake. Wen Yu gets jealous immediately. She reminds him that she saved his life. She demands a payback. He has to cure her father. If he succeeds, she will open a medical clinic for him.
The City Lord’s Secret
Xu Buhuai tries to make a move on Wen Yu. He brings gifts to the manor for a marriage proposal. Wen Yu kicks him out without hesitation. Her father, Wen Yu (the City Lord), tries to calm her down. The stress is too much for him. He collapses.
The secret is out. The City Lord is dying. Fu Sheng knew this. He kept it quiet because the City Lord asked him to. Wen Yu isn't stupid. She reads Fu Sheng’s face and realizes the truth. She begs him to save her father.
Lies and Spies
Li Zhizhuo runs to Yunting to brag about Sun Siming killing the traitor Lin. He thinks he will get a reward. He is wrong. Yunting is heartbroken. She sends Li away and cries over Lin’s body.
Gu Tian wants to bail. He thinks they will die if they can't cure the City Lord. Fu Sheng refuses to leave. He doesn't want Wen Yu to end up an orphan. Gu Tian caves. He decides to stay and help investigate the "Celestial Silkworm Silk." He even has a moment with Yingying. He realizes he has feelings for her.
Li Zhizhuo tests Sun Siming at the horse ranch. He wants to know if Sun heard anything at the Lin house. Sun plays dumb. He claims he was unconscious the whole time. Li gives him a beautiful woman as a "gift." Sun takes the woman home but passes her off to his brother.
The Counter-Play
Sun Siming is smarter than he looks. He pulls out the token Yunting gave to Lin. Yunting catches him with it. Sun panics. He spins a wild lie to save his own neck. He tells her Lin gave him the token before dying. He claims Lin said Li Zhizhuo is the real traitor and that Yunting needs to run.
Yunting is confused. Li told her Sun was the killer. Sun swears he can prove his story. Yunting leaves, but Sun is in trouble. His arm goes numb. He thinks it is snake venom and runs to Fu Sheng for help.
Back at Sun's house, the "gift" woman watches him leave. She smiles. That is definitely not a friendly smile.
