Episode Summary
The City Lord pushes forward with the Golden Flower Banquet to raise funds. Gu Tian and Sun Siming link the rare Sky Silkworm Silk to Li Zhizhuo. During the banquet auction, Gu Tian captures Steward Zhao, who admits Li Zhizhuo ordered a murder. However, right before testifying publicly, Zhao is blackmailed into taking the sole blame and commits suicide on stage.

The City Lord Wants His Money
The City Lord is desperate for cash. He can’t officially host the Golden Flower Banquet right now due to the political climate. But the merchants are showing up anyway. They want to show off their best goods. The City Lord decides to let it happen. He needs to liquidate that "Golden Wrap" asset.
Feng Qianli proves his worth. He hands the City Lord a thick file on Fu Sheng and Gu Tian. It covers everything. The City Lord is impressed. He tries to recruit Feng for a permanent position. Feng shuts him down. He stays loyal to his Pavilion Master.
Chasing the Silk
Hulu gets a solid lead. Someone in the city is trading Sky Silkworm Silk. Gu Tian takes a token from Hulu and hits the information station. The results are thin. The clerk hands him a tiny scrap of silk. That’s all they have. It’s rare stuff.

He says that silk is off-limits. Only Li Zhizhuo can touch it. That’s the smoking gun. Sun tells Gu Tian immediately. Li Zhizhuo is the link.
The Banquet Begins
The merchants arrive at the Golden Flower Banquet. They are dripping in gold. Xu Buhuai watches them with envy. He demands weapons for his Horse Department. The merchants refuse. They are saving their stock for the auction. Xu is furious but drags them to the venue.
Li Zhizhuo is paranoid. He thinks the Horse Department will steal his business. He orders Steward Zhao to watch them like a hawk.
The party starts. Gu Tian is undercover as a servant. He pours wine and blends in. A fight breaks out over the courtesan, Yingying. Men are jealous. The atmosphere gets heated. Yingying tries to calm things down with a toast. Gu Tian uses the chaos. He drugs the wine. Steward Zhao drinks it and passes out cold.
The Auction and the Interrogation
The bidding war starts. The Horse Department wins a set of top-tier weapons. They pay three times the normal price. The leader doesn't blink. He has deep pockets today.
Backstage, the real work happens. Gu Tian and Fu Sheng wake up Steward Zhao. They press him about Song Jingye’s murder. Zhao cracks. He admits Li Zhizhuo ordered the hit. He even agrees to testify against his boss.

Gu Tian and Fu Sheng crash the stage. They don't just accuse Li Zhizhuo. They reenact the murder. They show exactly how the Sky Silkworm Silk was used. They drag Steward Zhao out to testify.
It looks like a win. Then Li Zhizhuo pulls out a toy. Zhao sees it and freezes. It’s clearly a threat against his child. He flips the script instantly. He claims he acted alone. He confesses to the murder. Then he slices his own throat. Li Zhizhuo walks away clean, for now.
