Episode Summary
Yingying activates a massive spy network to find Feng Qianli. Sun Siming captures Meng Qin by using his family as bait, but the treasure hunt turns into a series of deadly traps. Meng Qin dies, and Sun Siming launches a brutal purge against the Wind Catching Shadow Tower spies. Wenyu saves Fusheng and Gu Tian from execution, but Gu Tian ends up in a coma after a desperate escape.

The Search for Feng Qianli
Yingying is a mess. She tosses and turns all night because there is zero news about Feng Qianli. The silence freaks her out. She doesn't sit around waiting, though. She orders three thousand spies to scour every corner for him.
The next morning, Wenyu wakes up at the clinic. Wenjiu catches her and gives her an earful. Wenyu knows how to handle this. She turns on the charm and acts cute. She needs a favor, and she knows exactly how to get it.
Meanwhile, the spy network from the Wind Catching Shadow Tower is active. They start passing messages on the streets. Fusheng and Wenyu see an opening. They head straight to the Jibei Chamber of Commerce to find Sun Siming. He isn't there. Tuoba Ruo has no idea why they showed up. She sits across from them, staring. They just sit there waiting for hours. It’s awkward.
Sun Siming Plays Dirty
Sun Siming is back at Meng Qin’s house, and he brought hostages. He has Meng Qin’s wife and child. He is furious. He wants that treasure map, even if he has to dig up the whole floor. He searches everywhere. Nothing.
Sun Siming is smart, though. He figures Meng Qin is watching from the shadows. He comes up with a sick plan. He threatens Meng Qin’s wife to force a reaction. It works. Meng Qin can’t watch his family suffer. He steps out and gets arrested immediately.
Maps and Traps
Su Rang is making moves. He plans to head to Xichuan. Before he leaves, he hands the Jibei Prince’s estate over to three elders. But he doesn't trust the Prince. He worries the guy might bolt. So, Su Rang decides to drag the Prince along with him. It’s the only way to keep him under control.
Back at the hostage situation, Meng Qin caves. He draws a map to the treasure to save his family. Sun Siming is paranoid. He doesn't trust the drawing. He forces Meng Qin to lead the way personally.
Fusheng shows up at the house later. He is too late. The place is empty. But he spots traces of the map left on the table. He doesn't hesitate. He heads out to save them.
The Ambush in the Wild
Meng Qin leads the group to a desolate spot. He points to a house and claims the treasure is inside. Sun Siming stays back. He orders Meng Qin to go in and get it. Meng Qin walks in with guards.
It’s a trap. The moment they enter, mechanisms trigger. Meng Qin walks out unharmed. He is full of rage. He tries to kill Sun Siming right there. He fails. Tuoba Ruo is faster. She puts an arrow right into him.
Double Cross at the Well
Fusheng rushes to the scene. It’s a grim sight. Meng Qin’s wife and child are already dead. Sun Siming and his crew are gone. Meng Qin is barely holding on. With his last breath, he tells Fusheng the Luan Bird Map is at the bottom of the nearby well.
Fusheng and Gu Tian jump down the well. They find a hidden poem. They solve it and dig up a buried ball.
It’s another setup. Sun Siming was hiding in the dark the whole time. He snatches the ball. He searches them violently for the Jade Disc. He comes up empty. Fusheng was one step ahead and had already slipped the disc to Wenyu.
A Bloody Aftermath
Tuoba Ruo is furious she didn't get the disc. She wants Fusheng and Gu Tian dead. Sun Siming actually tries to stop her. He owes Fusheng a life from before. He asks to spare them. Tuoba Ruo doesn't care. She orders the kill.
Wenyu arrives just in time. She brings troops and saves the guys. Sun Siming loses it. He pulls out the roster of the Wind Catching Shadow Tower. He orders the execution of all three thousand spies on that list.
It turns into a slaughter. The Jibei Chamber attacks the Chunyun Pavilion and every contact point. It’s total chaos. Jiuniang risks everything to save Yingying. Gu Tian jumps into the fray. He fights off a mob single-handedly. He manages to break out, but he takes heavy damage. He falls into a coma. Yingying is hurt too, but she drags him all the way back to the clinic.
