Love, Leaks, and Leveling Up

We start with a goodbye. Huang Yue made her choice. Her boyfriend got sent abroad, and she decided to follow him. She picked love over the job. Guo Xiaoyu thinks that is incredibly brave. The whole crew helps Huang Yue pack up her life. It’s not a sad ending, though. Huang Yue plans to come back for the wedding. She even asks Ren Jiatong, Guo, and Yan Fei to be her bridesmaids.

Li Ke walks her downstairs for the final send-off. Huang Yue looks at the city lights one last time. She always wondered if she would truly belong here. The future is a mess of variables. But she wants to fulfill this personal wish first. Li Ke gets it. He understands family duty. He gives her a genuine blessing.

Late Night Noodles and Office Gossip

Back at the apartment, things get domestic. Jiatong actually acts a little needy. She begs Guo for a bowl of noodles. It’s a rare sight. Yan Fei calls and jokes that Jiatong doesn't need her comfort anymore.

While Jiatong eats, Guo gets a text. Li Ke wants help with a secret case from Zhou Nian. Guo agrees. Then she pivots to gossip. She asks if Jiatong is dating Jiang Chen. Jiatong dodges. So Guo drops a bomb about the bosses.

Apparently, Song Yifan and Bai Xiao used to date. Song hesitated because of office rules. Bai Xiao didn't wait around. She quit Jun'an and went to another firm. Song regretted it immediately. Now she’s back, but the vibe is broken. Jiatong says she would never quit for a man. Guo agrees. She swears off love to focus on her career.

The Credit Stealer

Work gets intense. Guo is grinding at her desk. A new client walks in. It’s Wang Yinggao, a game producer from Tiankaixin Company. Jiatong doesn't know him, so she starts digging. She calls an old colleague named Qianqian for intel.

Then the drama hits. Li Ke hands their joint report to Zhou Nian. He hands it in alone. He takes all the credit. Zhou praises him. Guo is furious. She is about to storm over there and make a scene. Jiatong stops her. She holds Guo back. You don't fight in front of clients. It looks bad for the firm.

Guo cools off later. She realizes Jiatong was right. It would have hurt Jun'an’s image. She appreciates the save.

Neighbors and Near Misses

Li Ke actually does the right thing later. He comes to the apartment and apologizes. He admits he got carried away with the praise. He shouldn't have erased Guo’s contribution.

The timing is chaotic because Jiang Chen is moving in next door. Jiatong runs over to help him unpack. This gives Li Ke and Guo space to talk. But over at Jiang Chen’s place, the air is thick. Jiatong and Jiang Chen have serious chemistry. Guo sees it immediately.

They all end up drinking together. Li Ke opens up about his struggles. Guo forgives him. She decides to stick it out in Beijing no matter what.

After the group hangs up, Jiatong goes back to Jiang Chen’s apartment. He thinks it’s a booty call. It’s not. She wants to play video games. They play and talk about the client, Tiankaixin. Jiang Chen explains their history. The founders got screwed by investors before. They lost their own game world. Now they are back for revenge with a new company. Jiatong respects that.

The mood shifts. They get close. They almost kiss. Then a movie blasts on the TV and ruins the moment. Jiatong panics and leaves.

The Game Plan

Zhou Nian reviews the work. He gives Guo twenty points and Li Ke ten. He liked the report. Then he drops the next phase of the "Shijun Plan." They need to handle the financing for Tiankaixin.

It’s a mess. The core team has no non-compete agreements. The risk is high. Wang Yinggao wants the firm to clean up their internal mess before the money comes in.

Jiatong is ready. She’s a gamer. She prepared a proposal based on a player's perspective. Jiang Chen realizes that’s why she came over the night before. Zhou says only one intern gets to lead this.

Jiang Chen respects the hustle. He tells Jiatong she is a dangerous rival. Then he goes to Song Yifan with his own analysis. He thinks the game idea already leaked. A competitor called "Rui'e" looks suspicious.

There is another problem. The investors want a betting agreement. If the game fails, the studio pays massive damages. They need to stop this before it destroys the company. Song agrees. They need to check if the creative director has been moonlighting at other firms.
