Episode Summary

Lights go out at the dorms. Cheng Rui isn't back yet. Lin Honglang points out that Cheng Rui already has a strike on his record. Another mistake means expulsion. Li Wu hears the dorm manager coming. He makes a split-second decision. He jumps into Cheng Rui's bed to cover for him. The plan backfires immediately. The manager checks the room. He notices Li Wu is missing from his own bed. He marks Li Wu down for staying out all night.
Cen Jin Plays Along
Teacher Qi calls Cen Jin the next morning. He tells her Li Wu never came back to the dorms. Cen Jin rushes to the school. She finds Li Wu trying to explain himself. He shoots her a desperate look. He needs her to lie for him.

Cen Jin leaves to drink at Chun Chang's house. Li Wu calls her repeatedly. She ignores the phone. Chun Chang eventually texts him to say Cen Jin is fine. Li Wu stays up all night studying. He leaves a note for Cen Jin before heading back to school. He promises to study hard and stop making her angry.
Gym Class Bullying
The class heads to the gym for volleyball. The teacher asks for volunteers to move equipment. Li Wu helps out. A group of boys starts pelting him with volleyballs. Li Wu stands there and takes it. He doesn't fight back.
A female student walks in. She threatens to report the boys. They scatter. She explains the situation to Li Wu. Cheng Rui was out that night helping her with college applications. Teacher Qi slipped up and mentioned Li Wu's background to Cheng Rui. Now Cheng Rui knows Li Wu's parents are dead and Cen Jin is just a sponsor. The girl feels guilty. Forgotten at the Gate

The weekend rolls around again. Li Wu doesn't have his phone. Cen Jin gets stuck at a mandatory work dinner. She forgets to pick him up. Li Wu waits at the school gate. The sun goes down. The security guard gets ready to lock up. Li Wu turns around and walks back to his dorm alone.
The Hospital Protector
Cen Jin meets with Manager Chen at Bei Ao Auto. She pitches her company's strengths. It goes well. Manager Chen agrees to let them bid.
She finally remembers Li Wu. Teacher Qi calls her right then. Li Wu has had a fever for two days. Cen Jin rushes to the school. She takes him to the hospital. A man cuts in front of them in the registration line. Cen Jin complains. The man gets aggressive and yells at her. Li Wu steps forward immediately. He stares the man down. The man retreats to the back of the line. Cen Jin scolds Li Wu for acting tough while sick.
She goes to buy food. Li Wu texts her an apology. She wasn't really mad anyway. She returns with a pile of takeout containers.
