Episode Summary
Sawa raids the hospital to find Long Haishan, but Ke Zhengping breaks his own ribs to act as a decoy. He Xian leads Sawa on a car chase to buy time for the surgery. Later, Sawa tries to force He Xian to frame the government, but fails. Guanye kills Wang Qizheng, and Liang Zhong dies during a roadside ambush after killing a traitor.

The Hospital Hustle
Sawa Eisaku thinks he has won. He reads Liang Zhong’s confession and feels smug. He identifies He Xian as the ringleader of the underground supply line. He prides himself on never being wrong.
Meanwhile, Ma Wanqi moves a critical piece on the board. He smuggles a heavily injured Long Haishan into Kiang Wu Hospital. She is in bad shape. Ke Lin decides to operate immediately. He opens up a backup surgical suite.
Things get messy fast. Huang Gongjie rats them out. He tells Sawa that Long Haishan is likely at the hospital. Sawa wastes no time. He sends Yamaguchi to the bank and leads a team to the hospital himself.
Breaking Bones to Save a Life
Luobo catches wind of the raid. He tips off Qiao Yinwan. She rushes to the hospital to warn He Xian. She tells him to run. He refuses. The surgery takes four hours. They need to buy Ke Lin time.
Ke Zhengping pulls a move that hurts just to watch. He needs to be a patient. He slams his chest into a hard bench. He breaks his own ribs. He screams for a doctor. They hide Long Haishan under the operating table. Ke Zhengping climbs on top.
Sawa arrives with Guanye. He demands entry. Guanye asks for a warrant. Sawa pulls a gun instead.
The Bait and Switch
He Xian and Qiao Yinwan create a distraction. They drive past the hospital entrance. Sawa sees them. He takes the bait. A car chase tears through the streets. Guanye follows in a police car.
He Xian stops at an intersection. He plays innocent. He claims he was taking Qiao Yinwan to the doctor. He says he sped up because he thought bandits were chasing him.
Sawa realizes his mistake. He rushes back to the hospital. He bursts into the operating room. He expects to find a fugitive. Instead, he finds Ke Zhengping getting treated for broken ribs. Guanye steps in. He cites local laws and kicks Sawa out. Sawa leaves empty-handed.
Mind Games and Dead Ends
Guanye takes He Xian in for questioning. He Xian keeps his mouth shut about the Xi'an ship. Sawa demands a private session. He tries the nice guy approach first. He reminds He Xian of his status. He says not to throw it all away.
Then Sawa gets nasty. He claims Liang Zhong spilled everything. He accuses the Macau-Portuguese government of organizing the Xi'an ship to help the Allies. He calls it an act of war. He wants He Xian to confirm it.
He Xian doesn't flinch. He calls Sawa a liar. He says there is no proof. He accuses Sawa of trying to frame the government. He refuses to help the Japanese.
Sawa loses his cool. He orders Lin Nianci to bring Liang Zhong to Macau immediately. He gives He Xian thirty minutes to talk. He Xian agrees to talk, but only to Guanye. They whisper. Guanye leaves in a hurry.
The Final Cleanup
Wang Qizheng checks his delivery from He Xian. He expects diesel. He finds water. He is furious. Guanye kicks down his door. He shoots Wang Qizheng dead for "resisting arrest."
Ou Xin sets a trap on the road. His guerrillas ambush the transport carrying Liang Zhong. Chaos erupts. Liang Zhong spots the traitor, Water Ghost Kid. He strangles him with his chains. But Liang Zhong doesn't make it out. He dies in the fighting.
