Episode Summary
Jiang Mu and Jin Chao grow closer during the New Year celebrations, sharing intimate moments and a romantic day at the track and temple fair. Their date is interrupted by a confrontation with the rival Wan Ji garage, but they escape by blending in with a tour group. Meanwhile, Wan Qing struggles to get over her feelings for Jin Chao.

New Year, New Relationship Status
Things are looking up for Jiang Mu. She remembers what San Lai told her earlier. Jin Chao cares about that pendant. This realization puts her in a fantastic mood. The dumplings taste better. She starts bossing Jin Chao around at the dinner table. She wants meatballs. She wants a drink. Jin Chao does it all without complaining.
Jin Fengzi drops some wisdom on the group. He tells Jiang Mu that a navigator is like a lover to a racer. He notes that Jin Chao never trusted anyone before this. The mood lightens up even more with digital red envelopes. Jin Chao secretly sends one to Jiang Mu. The rest of the crew sends them too. Everyone runs outside for the fireworks. Under the exploding lights, Jiang Mu wishes Jin Chao a Happy New Year.
The Piggyback Ride
Jiang Mu makes a move. She takes the pendant back. She tells Jin Chao he doesn't need an object to miss her anymore. She is right there in person. She demands a piggyback ride upstairs, just like when they were kids. Jin Chao carries her up.
They get to the door. Jin Chao doesn't put her down. Jiang Mu isn't wearing shoes, so she stands on his feet. She wraps her arms around him. Jin Chao unlocks the door while balancing her weight. They shuffle inside together. The tension is thick. They both blush. Jiang Mu gets shy and bolts into her room.
Jin Chao turns to leave. Jiang Mu isn't ready for the night to end. She opens her door and demands he stay up to welcome the New Year with her. She claims she is still a child in front of him. He can't say no. He agrees to tell her stories for an hour.
Drifting Hearts
The next morning starts early. Jin Chao waits downstairs so he doesn't wake her up. Jiang Mu actually dresses up for the occasion. They head to the practice track. Jiang Mu shows off her skills. She drifts the car and burns a heart shape onto the pavement. Jin Chao loves it. He hops in the driver's seat. He drifts a second heart right next to hers. Then he pulls a stunt to draw an arrow through both of them. It is the most mechanic-style romance ever.
The Temple Fair Date
They hit the local temple fair. San Lai drags them to a wishing tree. He claims it works. They all hang their wishes. Jiang Mu whispers a very long wish to the tree. San Lai teases her. He asks if she has a hundred crushes. Jiang Mu shuts him down. She says she only has one person in her heart. Jin Chao hears this. He tries to hide his smile, but he fails.
The group watches a lion dance. The crowd is pushy. Jiang Mu grabs Jin Chao's hand for safety. Someone bumps her from behind. She falls forward and accidentally kisses Jin Chao on the cheek. He is completely stunned. He just stands there grinning.
The Wan Ji Confrontation
The good vibes hit a wall. They run into the crew from the Wan Ji garage. The rivals start trouble immediately. He Zhang warns them to stay out of the Xikou Pass business. Wan Shengbang tries a different tactic. He threatens Jin Chao to become his son-in-law.
Jin Chao doesn't flinch. He grabs Jiang Mu's hand in front of everyone. Wan Shengbang loses his temper. He orders his guys to attack. San Lai jumps in to help. It looks like a brawl is about to start.
Suddenly, a tour group of elderly people walks by. Jiang Mu thinks fast. She drags Jin Chao into the crowd of seniors. They pose for photos with the tourists. The bad guys are confused. The couple escapes safely.
Back at the rival camp, Wan Qing is furious. She takes her anger out on a punching bag. He Zhang tries to patch her up. She cries and tells him the truth. He can never replace Jin Chao.
