Episode Summary
The episode is heavy on secret romance, with Jin Chao and Jiang Mu sneaking kisses at home, the beach, and the garage. They seem solid until a misunderstanding occurs. Jiang Mu sees Jin Chao with another woman during an undercover operation. She is heartbroken. Jin Chao tries to comfort her on the street, but his mother catches them embracing.

Kitchen Disasters and Close Calls
Things start off domestic and messy. Jin Chao ties an apron on Jiang Mu. She plays chef while he helps out. But she gets clumsy with the ketchup bottle. It explodes all over Jin Chao. He heads to the room to change. Naturally, Jiang Mu follows him.
She can’t help staring at his abs. Jin Chao pulls a bold move. He makes her sit on his lap while he puts his shirt on. They lean in for a kiss. The timing is terrible. Zhao Meijuan and Jin Qiang get home right at that second. Jiang Mu panics. She shoves Jin Chao under the bed. He hates hiding, but he does it anyway.
Xinxin walks in to grab a tablet. Jin Chao crawls out. Jiang Mu follows. Xinxin sees them both but keeps her mouth shut.
Dinner Table Games
Jin Qiang cooks up the fish he caught. The family sits down for a meal. Mom notes that Jin Chao is home a lot lately. Dad brushes it off. He says the two kids have always been inseparable. Xinxin decides to stir the pot. She asks Jiang Mu if she really likes Jin Chao.
Jiang Mu stays quiet. Xinxin mentions the time Jiang Mu cried when she couldn't find him. Mom gets curious. Jiang Mu makes up an excuse about seeing some old letters. Jin Chao knows she’s lying. The vibe gets flirty. Jiang Mu plays footsie with him under the table. Jin Chao tries to keep a straight face.
Beach Day Shenanigans
The whole family heads to the seaside. They take photos on a boat. Jiang Mu tries fishing but fails miserably. Mom starts prying into Jin Chao’s love life. She asks if he has a girlfriend. He denies it. She brings up Wan Qing. Jiang Mu teases him, calling Wan Qing "hot." Jin Chao tells her to hush.
They try to sneak away for a moment alone. Just as they get close, Mom and Xinxin walk over. Jin Chao panics this time. He literally jumps into the ocean to hide. Once the coast is clear, Jiang Mu calls him back. Xinxin hands Jiang Mu two ice creams. She knows exactly what’s going on.
Jiang Mu dries Jin Chao off. He throws a towel over both their heads. They share a hidden kiss underneath it.
Garage Romance and Stargazing
Back at the garage, they can't keep their hands off each other. Jiang Mu hugs him from behind. San Lai walks in. They break apart. Jiang Mu pretends she was plucking his gray hairs. San Lai isn't stupid, but he leaves.
Jin Chao clears the shop. He sends the other guys away. He drags Jiang Mu into the bathroom. They make out heavily. San Lai comes back looking for a dog. He sees them. His jaw drops. He runs away before he sees too much.
Later, they go watch a meteor shower. Jin Chao brings strawberries. He feeds one to Jiang Mu. Then he takes it back with his mouth. It’s cheesy, but it works. They kiss in the car. Meteors fall. Jiang Mu makes a wish. Jin Chao says his wish already came true.
The Misunderstanding
Jiang Mu needs ID photos for a charity show. The camera won't focus. Jin Chao fixes it. They snap a cute couple photo afterwards.
The charity performance goes great. Jiang Mu dances perfectly. Afterwards, Nana takes her to a night market. The mood crashes instantly. Jiang Mu spots Jin Chao. He is hugging a foreign woman and drinking.
Jin Chao sees her. He tries to run after her. A man bumps into him. It’s a police contact. Jin Chao is undercover. The cop warns him not to blow his cover. Jin Chao is forced to go back to the table.
Heartbreak and Discovery
Jiang Mu cries the whole way back. She thinks about their happy moments. It hurts too much. She sits on the curb and sobs.
Meanwhile, the cop asks Jin Chao if he’s still in. Jin Chao says yes. He promised to finish the mission. He demands the race map in exchange.
Jin Chao waits for Jiang Mu on the road home. She is a mess. She hits him while crying. He grabs her and hugs her tight. He apologizes. It’s a loud, emotional scene. Unfortunately, they have an audience. Zhao Meijuan walks by and sees the whole thing.
