Jin Chao reveals to Jiang Mu that he is working undercover with the police to expose a smuggling ring hidden within the racing Alliance. He risks his life in high-stakes races to clear his name and take down Wan Shengbang.

Secrets and Sacrifices
Jiang Mu is done hiding her feelings. She goes straight to Zhao Meijuan and begs her to keep a secret. Auntie Zhao knows the score. She knows Jin Chao has had a rough life. She wants him to be happy. But she also knows Jiang Yinhan would absolutely hate this arrangement. Jiang Mu drops the truth. She came to Man City for Jin Chao. She stayed in school here for him too. Zhao Meijuan sees how much they care about each other. She agrees to pretend she saw nothing today.
The Burden of Truth
San Lai thinks Jin Chao is making a mistake. He pushes his friend to tell Jiang Mu what is really going on. Jin Chao refuses. He wants to play the martyr. He thinks keeping her in the dark protects her. He would rather carry the weight alone. San Lai isn't buying it. You can't hide something this big. He reminds Jin Chao that Jiang Mu isn't just some girl. She is strong. She deserves the truth.
Deflections and Smashed Cars
Wan Qing is worried about Jin Chao messing with the Alliance. She finds Jiang Mu and tells her to talk some sense into him. Jiang Mu tries. She asks Jin Chao to promise he will stay safe. He gives a weak "I'll try." She thinks this is about money. She offers him cash from Jiang Yinhan. Jin Chao shuts that down. It isn't about the money.
Later, Jiang Mu brings up the "Alliance." Jin Chao dodges the question. He says the less she knows, the better. He claims he just needs two weeks to make some cash and then he is out.
That night, things get ugly. Jin Chao finds San Lai fishing and admits he needs to come clean to Jiang Mu. Then Wan Qing shows up. They find Jin Chao's car smashed to pieces. San Lai bets it was the Wan Ji crew. Jin Chao loses his temper and screams at Wan Qing to get out. The outburst scares Jiang Mu. Jin Chao has to calm her down. He then goes to find He Zhang and punches him in the face.
The Mole Revealed
Jiang Mu spots Officer Lu Wan at the market. She remembers Jin Chao claimed he didn't know the cop. She knows that was a lie. She follows Lu Wan, using Pan Kai as a human shield to stay hidden. Lu Wan actually warns Jin Chao to watch out for He Zhang in the upcoming mountain race.
Jin Chao finally breaks. He sits Jiang Mu down and tells her everything. He isn't just racing for kicks. The Anti-Smuggling Bureau recruited him. The racing league is a front. The Alliance uses it to find drivers who are bold, desperate, and broke. Those drivers end up running smuggling operations.
Jin Chao is the mole. He needs to win points in the races to get the attention of the higher-ups. If he helps bust the ring, Wan Shengbang goes down. That is how Jin Chao clears his name. He was framed back at Wan Ji, and this is his only way out. He wants a clean record so he can stand by Jiang Mu's side without shame. He decided telling her was better than letting her worry. Jiang Mu is terrified for his safety, but Jin Chao is already all in.
