He Zhang brings a mob. San Lai can’t stop them alone. One guy tries to smash a car with a hammer. Jiang Mu doesn't run. She steps up and handles the guy herself. He Zhang gets angry. He ignores San Lai and goes straight for her. Jiang Mu holds up her phone and starts a livestream to scare them off. It doesn't work.
Jin Chao arrives just in time. He lands a flying kick on He Zhang. He shields Jiang Mu. The fight gets messy. He Zhang grabs a wrench to hit Jiang Mu. Jin Chao blocks it with his body. The two men brawl. They trash the shop. Jiang Mu screams that she called the police. That finally stops the chaos.
Street Rules and Reputation
He Zhang leaves. Jiang Mu asks the obvious question. Why not just call the cops immediately? San Lai explains the rules of the street. You don't involve the police unless lives are at risk. The cops just watch anyway.
We learn about Jin Chao’s past. He was a legend in high school. He could fight ten guys at once. Usually, he talks his way out of trouble. Today was different. He fought because they went after Jiang Mu. That hits hard.
Jiang Mu presses for more details. San Lai explains that Jin Chao is just too good of a mechanic. His old boss at Wanji lost his best workers and customers to him. That’s why the harassment never stops. Jiang Mu tries to ask about underground fighting. San Lai dodges the question and runs off.
The Racer Bluff
Lin Sui is still hunting for talent. He follows clues to a pet shop. He finds San Lai there. San Lai tries to get rid of him. Lin Sui points out a pickup truck outside. It looks normal, but it’s modified to beat supercars. It’s Jin Chao’s work. San Lai plays dumb. He sells Lin Sui some memberships and passes the contact info to Jin Chao later.
Jin Chao knows what this is about. Lin Sui wants a mountain race next Saturday. San Lai panics. He can’t race. Jin Chao has a plan. He takes San Lai to the garage. He shows him the car Lin Sui is interested in. He tries to explain the technical specs. San Lai doesn't get it.
Jin Chao switches tactics. He gives San Lai a cap. He decides to teach him how to bluff. They go to a closed road that night. Jin Chao teaches him to drift. San Lai forgets his fear and just enjoys the ride.
Fortunes and Misunderstandings
Wan Qing is still chasing Jin Chao. She wants a fortune reading on their compatibility. She hires Nana, a local "Little Witch." Nana takes Jiang Mu to Shakun High School. They look at the honor board. Jin Chao’s photo is there from his sports days. Nana points out something interesting. Jin Chao and Jiang Mu’s names combine to form the idiom "Zhao Zhao Mu Mu." It means "morning and evening," or being together all the time.
Jiang Mu makes a decision. She plans to go to school in Man City. She tells Jin Chao she’s dropping the "Brother" title. She will call him by his name now. Then things get awkward. She spots a bag of Durex condoms. She assumes the worst. She starts avoiding him. Jin Chao is totally confused.
