Zhuang Fei sees a post from Jiang Rui about skiing in Changbai Mountain. She gets jealous immediately. She talks to Zhuang Xu about his year-end bonus. She wants to use that money for a trip to Changbai Mountain with their mom. Their mom is feeling better and handles the cold well. It seems like the perfect time for a family vacation.
Meanwhile, Kris and her colleagues have their own plans. They were set to go to Hokkaido, Japan. They have visas ready. They invite Zhuang Fei and Justin to tag along. Zhuang Xu declines because he already promised his family the Changbai trip. Kris decides snow is snow. She convinces the group to ditch Japan and go to Changbai Mountain instead. Everyone agrees to merge the plans.
The Annual Meeting Mess
Nie Xiguang is busy setting up the venue for the company's annual meeting. It’s chaotic. A-Ru is carrying two huge boxes and can barely see. A man eating nearby bumps into her. He rips a hole in his expensive suit. He demands compensation right away.
Xiguang steps in to handle the situation. She notices Nian Yuan is hanging out with this rude group. Nian Yuan tries to smooth things over with fake niceties. A-Ru is terrified. Xiguang doesn't back down. She demands to see the security footage to prove who hit whom. A man named President Zhao steps in to mediate. He hands Xiguang a card and says to bill him for the damage. Xiguang refuses the help. She accepts the bad luck but refuses to be bullied.
The Gossip Mill Turns
Colleagues start asking questions. They wonder why Nian Yuan knows people from a company like Shuangyuan. The truth comes out. Nian Yuan is the daughter of Qian Fangping, who is Nie Chengyuan’s mistress.
Nian Yuan goes home and tells her mother about running into Xiguang. She is nervous. Years ago, Nie Chengyuan took her to a banquet. Xiguang said something back then that made her dad stop taking Nian Yuan to social events. She worries Xiguang will badmouth her again. Qian Fangping tells her daughter to relax. She advises Nian Yuan to just suck up to the dad and say nice things about Xiguang to keep the peace.
Dinner and Debrief
Xiguang grabs dinner with Lin Yusen that night. She brings up the incident with the suit. She worries she was too impulsive. She insisted on checking the cameras, but if it really was A-Ru's fault, the girl couldn't afford to pay for the suit anyway. Lin Yusen disagrees. He thinks she did the right thing. He points out that her firm attitude is the only reason the guys backed off.
The Party and the Aftermath
The annual meeting kicks off the next day. Lin Yusen and President Zhang write couplets for the staff. The atmosphere is festive. The lottery is the main event. Everyone wins small prizes. The grand prize is seven days of paid leave. The management department hopes for the win. They strike out.
Yin Jie and Wan Yuhua are disappointed. They only won 100 yuan. Xiguang tries to cheer them up. Lin Yusen drives by and offers the three ladies a ride back to the dorms. Yin Jie and Wan Yuhua read the room. They claim they want to walk to digest their food. They leave Xiguang alone with the boss.

They drive to a water street decorated for the holidays. Xiguang suggests a walk. They discuss their New Year plans. Lin Yusen is heading to Beijing. His mom lives in Switzerland, but she is coming back to Beijing for a reunion. Xiguang mentions her trip to Changbai Mountain with her uncle's family.

It’s the first day of the Lunar New Year. Xiguang goes to the countryside to visit her grandmother. The table is full of food. They call Nie Chengyuan. He is with Qian Fangping. The grandparents are furious. They start eating without him.
Nie Chengyuan arrives late. He asks Xiguang about her job in Suzhou. He doesn't approve. He thinks the photovoltaic industry has no future. He pushes her to quit and come back to Wuxi to intern at his company.
