Episode Summary
Qian Fangping and her daughter turn on each other as they are evicted from the villa. Ye Rong quits her job to escape her toxic boss. Lin Yusen wins over Xiguang's family and gets his grandfather's approval for his business strategies. The company officially rebrands to Guangyu, and Xiguang reveals a romantic gesture in the company garden.

The Villa Sale From Hell
We start with some serious schadenfreude. Nie Chengyuan’s assistant is moving fast on selling the villa. Qian Fangping hates this. She is getting desperate. She actually tells potential buyers her ex-husband died in the house just to scare them off. It’s a cheap trick. The buyers get spooked and leave.
The assistant isn't having it. He warns Qian to stop playing games. Nie Chengyuan made his decision. The house will sell eventually.
Qian panics. She tells her daughter, Ma Nianyuan, to pack up. They are moving back to their old, ordinary house. Ma Nianyuan loses it. She tasted the rich life and refuses to go back to being a nobody. She lashes out at her mother. She blames Qian for being powerless and dragging her into this mess. Qian fires back. She reminds Ma that her bad investments are the reason they are broke. It’s a total mess. They deserve each other.
Ye Rong Jumps Ship
Ye Rong is finally making a smart move. She finds Siliang to say goodbye. She quit her job at Shengyuan. She is heading to Shenzhen for a fresh start.
Her reason is solid. After Sheng Xingjie lost the bid, he started taking his anger out on everyone. Ye Rong realized he has zero actual talent. She saw the sinking ship and got off. Siliang asks about Zhuang Xu. Ye Rong shuts that down. She says she cut ties with him ages ago.
The Dinner Table Interrogation
Nie Xiguang brings Lin Yusen to a family celebration. Everyone is in high spirits. Jiang Yun is happy for her brother. Jiang Rui is toasting everyone like crazy.
Then Shen Shu drops a bomb. She asks about the house Xiguang and Lin bought together. She saw them on bidding day. Jiang Yun had no idea about this. The table goes quiet.
Lin Yusen handles it like a pro. He explains he is moving to a research center later this year. He refuses to do a long-distance relationship. He picked a spot in the suburbs between the two cities. Jiang Yun worries about the commute. Lin says it’s no worse than Shanghai traffic. Plus, seeing Xiguang every day is worth the drive. Jiang Rui takes mental notes on how to be that smooth.
Grandpa Gives His Blessing
Nie Chengyuan finds out Xiguang helped a competitor win the bid. Surprisingly, he isn't mad. He texts her congratulations. He is proud. He doesn't blame Lin Yusen either.
Sheng Xianmin (Grandpa) comes to Suzhou to visit Lin. Lin talks business. He wants to rename his company "Guangyu" eventually. He also wants to set up equity incentives for his team since he will be busy at the research center. Grandpa approves.
They talk about the bid. Lin admits he partnered with Chengrui because his own company is too new. He knew Sheng Xingjie wouldn't hire him. Grandpa realizes his grandson is sharp. Lin also drops a suggestion. He tells Grandpa to look at Sheng Xingxiu instead of Xingjie. Xingxiu is younger but has way more potential.
A New Chapter
Back at the office, Lin and Xiguang are grinding away. Xiguang has a meeting with Manager Hua. Lin teases her for being a workaholic. They share a moment. The chemistry is still there.
Time jumps forward. The phase two factory is running. In October, they win a massive solar project in Gansu. It is time for the official rebrand. Grandpa and Jiang Yun unveil the new sign: "Guangyu Photovoltaic."
While the adults do the formal stuff, Xiguang pulls Lin aside. She shows him a small garden she planted. She named it "Liuguang Forest." It means she wants him to stay by her side forever.
