Light of Dawn Episode 10
The Nursing Home of Horrors
The police finally cracked the identity issue with Aunt He. It turns out the woman we know isn't He Xiaohong at all. She stole that identity. The real He Xiaohong is actually alive and stuck inside the Mingyue Nursing Home. Zhao Tianming lied about the body in the fire to throw everyone off the scent.
This nursing home situation gets messier. It originally belonged to Xu Bin, Xu Zhiyang's father. Now Xu Zhiyang owns it, but he acts like he has no clue it exists. The police start asking questions. They find a group of former international club dancers living there. Their stories match perfectly. It’s too perfect. A psychologist steps in and realizes these women aren't just retired. They all suffer from severe trauma.
Five Minutes Inside the Villa
The real He Xiaohong tries to end it all with sleeping pills. She ends up in the hospital. Wu Guohao and Wu Feifei go to visit her. Feifei isn't just standing there, though. She is watching her father like a hawk. She wants answers.
Gao Feng sees an opening here. He uses his stalker to get a message to Feifei. He plays on her need for the truth. She bites. She gives him five minutes inside the Wu villa. That is not a lot of time. Gao Feng sprints through the place. He finds a specific room Wu Guohao built for Li Hongyue. He holds a golden ball that belonged to her. This proves it. The woman who killed herself in the attic was Feifei's biological mother, Li Hongyue.
Sins of the Past
We get a heavy dose of the 90s. After Yang Wenyuan died, Li Hongyue tried to save Qu Meng. She gave Qu Meng three months of leave. Qu Meng came back early to sing anyway. Li Hongyue saw the danger. She told Qu Meng to run for her life. Qu Meng refused. She dropped a bomb instead: she was pregnant. She planned to stay with Manager Zhao to hide the pregnancy. Li Hongyue thought she lost her mind and told her to get an abortion.
Back in the present, Gao Feng sits down with Wu Guohao again. Guohao actually starts talking. He spills the history about Qu Meng. Years ago, Xu Bin wanted to buy Qu Meng. He made Li Hongyue handle the deal. Li Hongyue didn't want the girl to die. They both broke down crying. Li Hongyue realized something terrible then. She wasn't saving these girls. She was their executioner.
The Ultimate Cover-Up
Guohao admits Li Hongyue and Qu Meng were close. But he points out the grim reality. One died working. The other lives like a fugitive. Gao Feng listens. He believes the old man for now. But he has one big question. Why was he born? Wu Guohao claims he wants to know that too.
Flashbacks fill in the gaps. Wu Guohao promised Li Hongyue he would send Yang Wenyuan away safely. He lied. He killed him. He justified it by saying Yang hurt the girls. Li Hongyue finally woke up. She asked Qu Meng about the baby one last time. Qu Meng was determined to keep it, even if it killed her. Li Hongyue made a choice. She decided to help. She defied orders to burn Yang Wenyuan’s belongings and gave them to Qu Meng instead.
Then came the wildest part of the plan. Li Hongyue stopped taking her birth control. She got pregnant on purpose. She didn't want a child. She did it solely to provide cover for Qu Meng. When the time came, she claimed she was going to the countryside to give birth. She took Qu Meng along as her "caretaker." It was her way of atoning for her sins.
Back in the room, cameras record the whole conversation between Gao Feng and Wu Guohao. But Guohao isn't sloppy. He knows he's being watched. He has people controlling the feed. He is still the one pulling the strings.
