Zhao Jiadi gets advice from Cai Yanzhi to go to Hangcheng and keep his identity secret. He visits Jiang Zongxiang for career advice and meets Jiang Tanle. Zhao Jiadi encounters Chen Fusheng after helping Shang Bao at a bar. Wei Jinghai punishes Chen Zhuhe for missing cargo. Zhao Jiadi finally meets Fan Hua Si Jin.

After wrapping things up at the wharf, Cai Yanzhi takes the initiative to meet with Zhao Jiadi. She lays out the current situation for him, suggesting he head to Hangcheng. Apparently, the Nanshan Chamber of Commerce's main businesses are located there, offering opportunities in infrastructure and shipping. Cai Yanzhi also warns Zhao Jiadi to keep his identity under wraps, especially around Wei Jinghai. Even though Wei Jinghai may have fallen from grace, he's still a force to be reckoned with and capable of making a comeback.
Back at their humble abode, Shang Bao is flabbergasted that someone would lend Zhao Jiadi 100,000 yuan so easily online. He suspects the lender might be some creepy dude. Shang Bao's bar isn't open yet, but a sharply dressed man shows up. After the man leaves, Shang Bao quickly grabs a bottle of booze and offers it to him, hoping he'll become a regular.
Following Cai Yanzhi's advice, Zhao Jiadi personally visits Jiang Zongxiang, the former headmaster of Haicheng Sanjiang College. Jiang Zongxiang encourages Zhao Jiadi to make his mark in the finance world, emphasizing the importance of practical experience. Hearing that Zhao Jiadi is interested in joining industry giants Jufeng and Risheng Group, Jiang Zongxiang offers to write him letters of recommendation.
Zhao Jiadi asks Jiang Zongxiang to keep his identity a secret, wanting to prove himself through his own abilities. Jiang Zongxiang is impressed by Zhao Jiadi's integrity and gives him an inscription as a gift. Just then, Jiang Tanle, Jiang Zongxiang's granddaughter and a teacher at the school, arrives. She's already heard about Zhao Jiadi's aversion to English class. Zhao Jiadi is about to leave, but Jiang Zongxiang insists he stay for a game of chess, which piques Jiang Tanle's interest.
The mysterious man from the bar returns, and Shang Bao learns his name is Chen Fusheng. After leaving Jiang Zongxiang's place, Zhao Jiadi receives a text from someone called "Fan Hua Si Jin," inviting him to meet in Haicheng. Zhao Jiadi readily agrees. Meanwhile, at the bar, Shang Bao is being harassed by some rowdy customers and is forced to drink. Zhao Jiadi arrives and steps in to defend him, leading to a confrontation with the troublemakers. Just as things are about to escalate, Chen Fusheng intervenes, giving Zhao Jiadi a knowing look.
After the bar brawl, Zhao Jiadi immediately takes Shang Bao home to make sure he's okay after all that drinking. The next morning, Zhao Jiadi sees six missed calls and realizes he stood up "Fan Hua Si Jin." He quickly calls to apologize. Luckily, Fan Hua Si Jin isn't too upset, and they reschedule their meeting for the afternoon.
Wei Jinghai is furious about the missing fifteen tons of cargo and has Chen Zhuhe's men beaten to death. Chen Zhuhe is terrified, insisting he wouldn't dare steal the goods, but Wei Jinghai demands someone take responsibility. Wei Jinghai forces Chen Zhuhe to hold a rope soaked in alcohol and then sets it on fire. As the flames get closer, Chen Zhuhe wets himself and begs for his life. In the end, Wei Jinghai spares Chen Zhuhe, giving him a new assignment: personally oversee a shipment, requiring him to spend a long time at sea. Chen Zhuhe readily agrees.
At the agreed-upon meeting spot, Zhao Jiadi arrives early and calls Fan Hua Si Jin, asking for a description so he can recognize her. Fan Hua Si Jin plays coy, not revealing much and telling him to wait. Zhao Jiadi buys a grilled sausage and starts eating it while he waits. He sees a heavy-set woman get out of a fancy car and mistakenly thinks she's Fan Hua Si Jin, but she's just there for the sausage. Just then, a young woman taps Zhao Jiadi on the shoulder – the real Fan Hua Si Jin!
