The investigation takes a dramatic leap forward as the Special Investigation Team, led by the meticulous Song Yanchuan, launches a massive, coordinated raid. Targeting the Tianlong Group and the New World Garbage Treatment Plant, police and court officers, assisted by drones, move in for the arrest of thirty suspects.

At the garbage plant, officers capture the brothers Lai Dongming and Lai Donglang, and rescue a captive Wan Hong and a severely injured Wan Chao, who is rushed to the hospital. A simultaneous raid on the Tianlong Group's offices results in the swift capture of all involved personnel.

Under questioning, Lai Donglang breaks down and confesses to a string of horrific crimes committed under the orders of Xiong Lei: the murder and cremation of Lei Guangfa, the kidnapping of Zhou Biao, the violent assault on Shao Xiaoyan, and the murder of prosecutor Qiao Zhenxing, whose body was dumped in the Yongqing River. When his brother Lai Dongming refuses to cooperate, Song Yanchuan informs him that Lai Donglang's testimony alone is enough for a conviction. This pressure causes Lai Dongming to confess, and he reveals a stunning secret: Xiong Lei is actually Wang Dayou, the primary fugitive from the Wanchuan Mine shooting case thirteen years prior, who had faked his own death after being released on medical parole.

The full story of Qiao Zhenxing's murder is finally revealed. Months earlier, Qiao had a chance encounter with Xiong Lei at Cheng Zijian's law firm. Qiao thought he looked familiar, which sent Xiong Lei (as Wang Dayou) into a panic, fearing his true identity would be exposed. He lured Qiao to the Jinhai Karaoke Bar with a false promise of evidence. Sensing a trap, Qiao tried to call his colleague Hong Liang, but the noise of a passing train drowned out his words. The Lai brothers then abducted Qiao. To ensure his silence, Xiong Lei threatened Qiao's wife, Zhou Mei, and daughter, Qiao Yiran, forcing him to record a false confession video before brutally murdering him and staging it as a drowning.

Meanwhile, Zheng Yaping and Hong Liang interrogate Wanhai in prison, while the corrupt guard Wang Huashan secretly monitors their conversation. Hong Liang tells Wanhai they know the shooting thirteen years ago was not a robbery but a targeted assassination attempt on him. Wanhai is initially defiant, but a video call with his now-safe brother, Wan Chao, convinces him to talk. Wanhai tearfully reveals the truth: Yu Tiancheng had hired Wang Dayou to kill him in order to take over the Wanchuan Mine.

The conspiracy begins to unravel from within. A nervous Jiang Xudong urges Yu Tiancheng, Chen Shenglong, and his own son, Jiang Yuan, to flee the country, but Yu Tiancheng refuses, unwilling to abandon his massive investment in Jiang Yuan's new energy project. Jiang Yuan is furious to learn the project was merely a front for Yu Tiancheng to seize back the mine.

The infighting intensifies as Yu Tiancheng threatens to expose Jiang Xudong. However, Chen Shenglong reveals his trump card: he has been secretly recording all of their criminal activities and plays a recording that implicates Jiang Xudong, who is left speechless. As Chen is about to play another incriminating recording, he receives a tip from his informant Wang Huashan that Hong Liang is making progress with Wanhai. Chen blackmails Jiang Xudong, forcing him to use his influence to stop the interrogation. Just as Wanhai is about to name Jiang Xudong as a mediator in his old conflict with Yu Tiancheng, Hong Liang is called away. Realizing Hong Liang is Jiang Xudong's son-in-law, Wanhai immediately stops talking. The incident makes Yu Tiancheng realize how dangerous Chen Shenglong is, and he begins to plot his murder.

With the truth out, Qiao Zhenxing is officially exonerated of the crime he was framed for. At his grave, a guilt-ridden Li Renjun confesses his past professional failures to Hong Liang and reveals that Yu Tiancheng is Chen Shenglong's boss. Hong Liang reflects on his own role in the original misjudgment of the case thirteen years ago, acknowledging he indirectly contributed to Qiao's death.

Finally, Hong Liang and Zheng Yaping report their explosive findings to their superior, Zhang Fang. He gives them his full support, urging them to pursue the case to the end, no matter who is implicated.
