Plot Synopsis

Adapted from the classic novelOranges Are Redby acclaimed author Chi Chun,Girls Fighting Fateis apoignant drama set against the backdropof a sprawling, generational orange orchard run by theprestigious Shen family. The story centers on a heart-wrenching love triangle between two brothers and one woman. The master of the estate, Shen Yanqing (played by Huang Weide), and his charismatic sixth brother, Shen Yanzhou (Wang Ruichang), both find themselves captivated by the sameperson: the resilient and spirited Xiu Ju (Guan Chang), a young woman of humble origins.

Xiu Ju’s life is one of hardship. With a bedridden mother to care for and an oppressive brother and sister-in-law at home, she is resourceful and determined. Each morning, the clever young woman sells small crafts near the local schoolhouse to eamoney for her mother’s medicine, all while secretly listening in on the lessons. It is here that she meets and falls for the candid and sincere sixth master, Shen Yanzhou, and a tender romance begins to blossom.

However, their love is not destined for a simplepath. Desperate to secure an heir for the family, the first wife, Zhuang Hui (Chen Zihan), orchestrates aplan. She forces Xiu Ju topart with her beloved Yanzhou and marry the elder master, Shen Yanqing. Driven by a duty to save her mother and repay a debt of gratitude, Xiu Ju agrees,plunging her into an emotional vortex with the two brothers.
