Episode Summary
Tang Xin anxiously waits for word from Wu Si, who is preparing for a military competition. They have a brief, bittersweet meeting at a museum before he departs for Anguo. Coincidentally, Tang Xin and Lan Yangyang also travel to Anguo for a vacation. While there, Lan Yangyang leads Tang Xin into a remote wilderness area, cutting her off from all communication. At this very moment, a suspicious Han Yuhang begins tracking Tang Xin's location, and Wu Si distinguishes himself by saving fellow competitors as the competition begins.

Rose and Gun Episode 13: An Anxious Wait and a Fateful Trip
The episode opens with Lan Yangyang excitedly planning a trip abroad, hoping her friend Tang Xin will join her. Tang Xin, however, is hesitant to leave her job. Her real preoccupation is Wu Si. At home, she can't stop staring at her phone, waiting for a message from him that never arrives. She tries to hide her disappointment from her parents, but her lack of appetite gives her away. Sneaking back to her room, she tries calling Wu Si, only to find his phone unreachable. Her frustration mounts, and her father can't help but tease her about her obvious feelings.
Meanwhile, Wu Si is preparing to lead his team in an international military competition, an event to bring honor to their country. To build a sense of mission, Director Wang arranges a special visit for the soldiers to the Naval Museum. Director Wang also informs Tang Xin's father about the museum visit, who quickly passes the news along to his daughter. At the museum, Wu Si and his fellow soldiers are deeply moved by the navy's rich history.
Unable to bear the silence any longer, Tang Xin rushes to the Naval Museum after learning Wu Si is there. When she spots him, she suppresses her excitement and tries to play it cool. Instead of approaching him directly, she calls his phone. When he answers, she panics, says nothing, and hangs up. In a twist of fate, Wu Si appears right behind her. Flustered, Tang Xin lies, claiming she dialed the wrong number.
Wu Si tells her he's about to leave for the competition abroad. A worried Tang Xin immediately asks how long he will be gone, anxious about their separation. Their conversation is cut short as Wu Si has to return to the barracks, leaving Tang Xin feeling disappointed once again. Later that night, she's lost in thought, staring at a small gift he gave her, so absorbed that she doesn't even notice her father entering her room.
In a parallel storyline, Lan Yangyang decides to launch a career as a beauty blogger, planning to live-stream and explain cosmetics from a medical perspective. Worried about her trip, Zong Qing thoughtfully prepares several first-aid kits for her. This act of kindness inspires Wu Si, who decides he should prepare something similar for Tang Xin.
The story then shifts to the country of Anguo. Wu Si and his team arrive for the military competition, just as Lan Yangyang and Tang Xin arrive for their vacation. During their trip, Lan Yangyang is already busy promoting cosmetics. Elsewhere, Han Yuhang discovers from Tang Xin's social media that she is abroad and immediately starts trying to track her location.
Lan Yangyang drags Tang Xin into the wilderness, searching for a specific type of fruit to use in her cosmetic creations. At the same time, Han Yuhang tracks down an informant who has been in contact with Tang Xin. He lies, pretending to be her friend to get information. The informant is suspicious and sends Tang Xin a warning email, but she never receives it. Deep in the wild, her phone has no signal. Tang Xin suggests they head back, but the determined Lan Yangyang insists they venture deeper to find the fruit.
The military competition officially kicks off. The elite soldiers from various nations are proud and competitive. As the events unfold, several contestants run into dangerous situations, and Wu Si steps up, rescuing them one by one.
