Rose and Gun: Episode 4 Spoilers

In the latest installment of "Rose and Gun," several characters face significant hurdles. Yi Nanwang, initially disheartened by his poor marksmanship, finds renewed motivation thanks to some encouragement from Wu Si. Admiring the special forces' top sharpshooter, Cheng Pai, Yi Nanwang dedicates himself to intense training. With the support of his comrades, his skills see a remarkable improvement, bringing him much closer to the standards required to remain in the elite unit.

Meanwhile, reporter Tang Xin resumes her dangerous investigation into a sunken ship. With assistance from Han Yuhang and a team of skilled divers, she returns to the wreck site but comes up empty-handed. A shift in their search area proves equally fruitless. Tang Xin contacts her confidential informant, who suggests the coordinates he provided may have been tampered with and sends a new location. This leads Tang Xin to a chilling realization: her computer was likely compromised. She establishes a more secure line of communication with her informant, who, fearing for his life, declines to meet but agrees to feed her clues to expose the powerful figures behind the conspiracy.

Tang Xin's professional life also hits a wall during an official interview at the military base, where she is hosted by Wu Si and Cheng Yuan. Wu Si, who is secretly the man who saved her life, deliberately obstructs her interview. He prevents her from asking critical questions or speaking to personnel individually, all in an effort to keep his identity and military secrets safe. When Tang Xin directly asks who her rescuer was, Wu Si stays silent. She turns to Cheng Yuan, but he respects Wu Si's unspoken wish and defers, stating he can't reveal the person's identity without their consent.

Frustrated, Tang Xin devises a new plan. She asks her best friend, Lan Yangyang, to arrange a meeting with another special forces member, Zong Qing, hoping to interview him without interference. The plan is foiled when Wu Si unexpectedly accompanies him. Having anticipated Tang Xin's strategy, Wu Si had already briefed Zong Qing to remain quiet about the rescue. The meeting turns awkward when Tang Xin is caught speaking ill of Wu Si just as he appears. Despite her best efforts to get him to leave, Wu Si refuses to budge, determined to prevent her from uncovering any sensitive information.
