Episode 14 of A Forbidden Marriage begins with Yuan Yingxing learning that the valley is surrounded. She rushes back to get Wang Yue, trying to convince her to leave by lying that Yang Qing sold them out to the other sects. Wang Yue isn't buying it, and just then, Er Ha shows up.
Not wanting Yuan Yingxing and Wang Yue to be together, Yao Fu spills the real story: Yang Qing actually sacrificed himself, creating a diversion to save them. Hearing this, Wang Yue is desperate to go rescue him. Yuan Yingxing tries to stop her, even pulling rank as the cult leader, but Wang Yue is too worried and sneaks out at night anyway.
Instead of finding Yang Qing, Wang Yue stumbles right into the sects who are hunting for her. Just as they're about to grab her, Yang Qing swoops in for the save. It turns out he had disguised himself as Yuan Yingxing to lead the sects on a wild goose chase. Seeing how much he still cares, Wang Yue promises to come back for him after she gets to safety. But then, Yuan Yingxing appears with a bombshell: Biluo Valley has a much bigger, more sinister plan. They're using this whole situation as a trap to wipe out all the other sects and take control of the entire martial arts world.
Naturally, Yang Qing has to go save his own people. Wang Yue is terrified for him, knowing Biluo Valley has set up a deadly formation. Despite the danger, Yang Qing is determined. Wang Yue wants to go with him, but Yuan Yingxing holds her back. Seeing how much Wang Yue cares, Yuan Yingxing decides to go into the formation herself, telling Wang Yue to stay out of it.
Inside the formation, Yang Qing is confronted by an illusion of his master, Feng Xingyun, who accuses him of betrayal. No matter what Yang Qing says, the illusion won't listen and attacks him. During the fight, Yang Qing figures out it's not his real master. Meanwhile, Yuan Yingxing enters the formation and sees an illusion of an injured Wang Yue. This fake Wang Yue guilt-trips her, claiming she was never loved and pressuring her to kill herself. Just as Yuan Yingxing raises her sword, Yang Qing snaps her out of the illusion.
Their troubles aren't over, though. They run into Jin Buhuan, who orders his men to kill Yang Qing. As they all attack, Yuan Yingxing steps in and takes down Jin Buhuan and his followers for good.
Wang Yue, unable to just wait around, had gone with Yuan Yingxing to find them. When she finds Yang Qing is okay, she throws her arms around him in relief. Seeing how in love they are, Yuan Yingxing finally gives them her blessing. She and Yang Qing talk things over. He points out that some people in her Sheng Yue Cult are too violent, and she realizes he's pushing for a major reform. When they talk about Wang Yue, Yuan Yingxing makes it clear: "Don't you ever hurt her."
Wang Yue, who was eavesdropping outside, couldn't hear what they were saying and assumes Yuan Yingxing was giving him a hard time. But when Yuan Yingxing comes out, she hands the Moon Blade over to Wang Yue, essentially making her the new leader of the Sheng Yue Cult. Even Yao Fu comes around, offering to help Yuan Yingxing save their people now that the relationship issue is settled. Finally, Wang Yue and Yang Qing can be together without hiding. They're happy and in love, and he even asks her to come back with him to the Cloud Sect.
